Another book to add to my collection. I already have several McGraw-Hill books, but I decided to get this one anyway because I recently tried out the app that goes with it. At first, I was hesitant about trying the app. But after I finally tried it out, I liked it.One thing I have learned when attempting to read anything in Spanish, even a grammar book, is that you need to know HOW to pronounce the words. How can I remember what I have read if I do not know how to pronounce the words? Looking at lists of symbols (IPA), and other ways of learning how to pronounce words, did not seem to work for me.I know it's going to take me a very long time to learn Spanish because I don't have a lot of spare time (a sink full of dirty dishes takes priority). But this book, along with its audio will help me in my endeavor. And that makes me very happy!I hope this helps someone.Thank you.

Honestamente, este libro fue una sorpresa para mí. No esperé encontrar un buen libro como este de una editorial gigante. Este libro representa perfectamente lo que Stephen Krashen y los profesores de ‘Comprehensible Input’ nos enseñan. Empieza con gramática fácil y gradualmente sube la dificultad. Lo viene con audio que se puede encontrado por el website. Este audio es de alta calidad, pero tiene un problema. No todos los capítulos tienen una grabación. El segundo parte soló tiene seis grabaciones, pero hay veintidós capítulos.Me reí del libro varios veces, especialmente in el primer parte y el tercero. El capitulo se llama ‘Estampillas y más Estampillas’ fue muy cómico.A algunas personas, el segunda parte quizás se parece ofensivo porque cuenta la historia de Hernan Cortez y los conquistadores quién conquistaron a los Aztecas. Este parte es una historia de el manera viejo, pero creo que es muy interesante. Los Aztecas y otra indigenas eran muy avanzados y su historia es muy emocionante para mí. Pero a mí también me gusta mucho la historia de Cortez y su soldados. Cortez fue un hombre muy astuto y inteligente, pero también lamentablemente era un bruto.El tercera parte es una colección de pasajes de la novela ‘Lazarillo de Tormes’. Esta sección era muy difícil para mí. A menudos tuve que buscar a palabras en el diccionario. A pasar de esto, aprendí muchas palabras nuevas y más importante aprendí frases nuevas como ‘A pasar de’, ‘se dar cuenta’ y ‘perder el sentido’.Por lo general, me gusta mucho este libro y lo recomiendo a todos los estudiantes de español. Tengo mucho que aprender, pero por leyendo libros como este, mejoro poco a poco cada día.

Love the stories and exercises. My book got damaged in the final delivery as the carrier through it over the fence in my side yard, so when the sprinklers came on, it got partially soaked but I am still using it.

It's laid out in sequences that can each be taken in during a day. That works well, I find. A bit too America orientated.
