Great throttle for running extra locomotive on dcc layout. The simplicity of use and the ability to use sound features makes it a superb accessory for model railroading.

Good throttle for secondary use

The UT6 is a simple and effective throttle to add lots of functions to my old DCS50 Command Station, which can only activate 8 functions. The UT6 bumps it up to 28 functions to utilize on my 2 newer BLI Blue Goose and Southern Pacific GS-4 locos. Mine is a simple HO layout, and this throttle works great for me. My only negative is that a couple of the buttons -- the "power/back" and the "loco" buttons -- sometimes need a second press to activate. It took a little practice (at least for me) to get them to activate consistently. I haven't used battery power, only the tether so far, but am happy with this throttle.

Having 2 controllers is extremely important. I find it the perfect one for my arthritic hands. Still getting use to direction / break. But find it much easier to control the speed. I firmly believe that this is an extremely handy tool for my railroad.

OK but buttons and switches are touchy to uses(does not work all the time)

I would like wireless. But since I found a source of proper cables, I can work with this just fine, and still affordable. Love this electronical version over the original design, but I will keep that old one as a spare.
