works, but not a miracle
Based on the reviews I read, I expected my feet to be soft as a baby's behind after just one use. (what a creepy saying - who is touching baby's behinds?)Anyway, it seems to me that many reviews are exaggerating the results, or they have softer calluses than me.I have used it around 4-5 times over 2-3 weeks, and my feet are indeed getting softer, but the calluses are not completely gone yet. In my case, the dead skin is not just peeling off. It is coming off gradually. To be fair, the instructions never say it will do the job in just one use. The box says use it twice a week until the calluses are gone.Be sure to use a glove when you apply it. The first time I used my bare hand, and it did take off some skin that I had wanted to keep. Made my fingers a little rough. Again, not the product's fault - I should have known better.I recommend this product - just have a realistic expectation. Do not expect the miracle results of some of the reviews here. It will likely take several applications, which is fine. The bottle is large enough for probably 50 uses, I am guessing.

Works well, but be very, very careful!
This product does remove the callused skin, but when using it for the first time last night, I followed the directions and "washed the area thoroughly with soap and water using a clean cloth". Unfortunately, I chose to do this in the shower when washing up for the night. I have an acrylic tub and no bath mat, just ridges in the acrylic for traction. When I stepped into the wet shower, my life flashed before my eyes, it was like trying to stand up on glare ice. Luckily, I have those suction cup handrails to take the edge off my sliding a little bit, or I would have ended up in the ER or worse. The extreme slipperiness lasted almost half my shower. Maybe a bath mat would have helped, I'm not sure. All I know is that I followed the directions and almost killed myself. I live alone, and a shower fall could have proven lethal. The product did work as expected, and will probably make my feet even nicer the next time (if there is a next time!), but there should be a warning on the box, "do not wash off in shower - extreme slipperiness will occur!" So please be careful everyone. Don't use in shower! Sit on the edge of tub or a basin and wash your feet that way, or try with a bath mat at the very least!

AWESOME!!!
This stuff is for real!! My heels were so bad, I am embarrassed to describe it so, let's just skip it - shall we?!! Suffice it to say that after reading the reviews of many products, I was most impressed with Callus Buster and for the price, what the heck! I put it on with a wooden popsicle stick, then put a piece of plastic wrap around my heel so that I can put my foot down without any chance of getting this stuff on my carpet, hardwood or tile (depends on where I am in the house!!) - I know it says to wait no longer than 3 minutes but, I leave it on for between 5 and 7 minutes. Then I use one of those nutmeg grater looking scrapers from the dollar store and go to scrubbong. Within a couple of minutes of scrubbing gently with that thing - NO MORE CALLOUS!! Aftre, just a thin layer of lotion on heel and go to bed! Wake up next morning and feel like I have been to the spa for a pedi!!!! Trust me - get it. You will not be disappointed!! Just be sure to start with their instructions regarding time left on before you go for longer - do it a couple of times a week and you will be lookin' your best through the summer and beyond!!!!!!!!!!!

This is some weird stuff!
It does seem to work, however, do read the cautions about not using on any cracked skin because it will burn severely. I'm no chemist, and have no idea what's in this stuff, but it smells like NAIR or some kind of lotion type hair remover. The worst part of this product is the logistics of it. You have to put the stuff on your feet for 3 minutes. You have to wash your hands immediately after putting it on. So, you can do one foot at a time and hop around the bathroom or you can sit in the top and wash your hands there and hang your feet over the side until 3 minutes is up. In other words, once you put it on both feet, you're stuck. Even propping your feet up on an Ottoman in the Living Room requires the back of the heel to touch the stool. It's not easy to suspend your feet in the air and navigate the rest of your body for 3 minutes.

Ouch!
Used this stuff twice and don't know that I'll use it again and certainly will not buy it again. My heels calluses were/are mild and usually I remove them with the Ped -Egg. But this was to hard on my feet and removed too much skin, so I decided to try the Callus Buster gel.The remover is strong (at least it smells strong and I burned my skin when I was rubbing it on my heels). That said, it did not soften or remove the calluses very far down. While I was able to rinse and rub off some of the rough skin from my heels, it didn't go as deeply into the callus as I had expected. Also, it left my feet (and any other skin it touched while applying and removing) feeling slimy and very slippery. I slipped and fell when I stood up after rinsing and drying my feet.In closing, I will not be using this product again.

Works with some caveats
This product works, but with some caveats. First off, if you have hard, cracked, thickly calloused feet, it will definitely take at least 3 or 4 uses initially before your feet are completely soft and smooth. Second, after using it, I still find that I need to pumice the dead skin off of my feet. Just a light, quick pass to remove the already softened dead skin. Thirdly, a word of caution about use. This stuff is much stronger than it appears. I applied it as directed and rinsed the excess from my hands. I failed to thoroughly wash my hands with soap and water--just rinsed the product off of my hands--only to find that some remained and I suffered a slight burn. So you may want to wear gloves when applying or simply make sure that you always thoroughly wash your hands after applying. All in all, it works well enough, and I would use it again in lieu of something better. Using just once a week should allow you to maintain smooth, attractive feet.
