Rinnai RUC80iN Ultra Series Natural Gas Tankless Water Heater, Concentric or Twin Pipe Installation

Very impressed, I have been in the HVAC/Plumbing industry for over 30 years. I mainly deal with tall buildings that the HVAC/P equipment is ultra critical. When I decided to install one of these in my house I did a lot of research and even attended a training seminar at the local plumbing supply house. In my opinion this was the best unit available (No I do not rep or sell these items, I deal with units 10 to 100 times the capacity of these).I have only had it going for four months so far and I discovered I needed to add a recirculation circuit to the hot water line. Unlike other water heaters that allow hot water to migrate through the pipes even when not in use. This unit does not, so it took a little while for hot water to arrive at the tap or shower head. All better now.

This thing is great. Hot water is very super hot. Comparing this to my old water heater, the hot water performance is superior, better pressure and hotter water. My old tank water heater sprung a leak. I didn't want another ugly tank in my garage so I installed this myself.

First off, I love the fact that whether I'm first, second, third, or even fourth in line to take a shower, I always have plenty of hot water! Second, I finally have enough hot water to fill my Jaccuzzi!!

Installed by a plumber-easy installation. Plenty of hot water.It does take a little longer to obtain the hot water than a tank type hot water heater, but the trade off is negligible.One note-if you have a shower head with a temperature valve (cuts off flow to conserve water)-make sure you release the valve immediately or the hot water will turn cold momentarily, because there is not enough flow to keep the tankless activated.

Works great, love it! Only negative is the fan makes a low pitch sound when you turn on the hot water faucet that can resonate through the wall attached, at least in my home.

This is my third tankless over 32 years. They keep getting better and better. You wouldn't know it was a tankless compared to a tank. No temp change when changing flow rates and the flow goes very low without the other unit shutting off. Plastic right out the side wall with NO smell like the last heater (different brand).

You can not fine a better one!

I am impressed with this Rinnai gas hot water system. It works as advertised. In fact, I would say it works better than my previous Rheem storage gas hot water system. The Rheem unit would not generate hot water if the 200L storage tank was empty because it was trying to refill and heat the water. The Rinnai unit provides instant hot water and only heats the water as it is required (on demand). I have set the temperature on the LCD panel to 46°C and it is adequate for the entire household. I had a Rinnai unit in Australia and over there they have been around since the 1960's and without any problems. I found that amazon.ca is slightly less than some of the installers. Just make sure the installation is performed by a reputable and registered installer rather than unlicensed installer otherwise it may not work according to manufacturer's instructions (it may also void the warranty).

Replaced my new water heater with this unit, got rid of the rental unit in a new construction home before I even started the rental agreement! very easy to install Gonna buy a new one for my parents and get rid of there rental agreement!Bought second unit for my parents house and got rid of the rental tank Looking forward to seeing how fast it gets paid off!
