I don't understand how these magnets work with a nonferrous metal like aluminum?

I'm no physicist but you're not using the magnets to bond onto aluminum. Ferrous materials such as iron can conduct magnetic fields so two magnets can magnetically bond to each other (north and south polarity). Aluminum - a non-ferrous material - is paramagnetic, which means it responds weakly to magnetic fields. Magnetic fields will pass through aluminum. That means two magnets - aligned correctly - separated by a sheet of aluminum should still bond to each other.

Do u put a magnet/weight inside the bag?

Nope. Submerge the bag first. Put two magnets on the outside of the bag which will secure the bag to the inside the pot. 3. Put the remaining 2 magnets on the outside of the pot but line them up with the magnets in the pot to further secure the bag.

Can these work in an air fryer?

I don't know...but I certainly wouldn't try it. There's a latex type covering on the magnets that probably wouldn't fare well in an air fryer. Just sayin'....

Will they work with a food silicone reusable bag?

Yes. They are just magnets. Typically, you will place a magnet on each side of the bag in the corners to weight it down.
