Great tool, replaced my old Stanley straight cut snips and this rubber grip design is easier to hold onto while cutting stubborn materials. The finger stud stabilizes the tool while using it.

Originally bought it cut poultry fencing and it has done the job well.

The picture is misleading.
Now I like Stanley tools, I have had them all my life and my father before me. I bought these snips to replace the older Wiss I've had for years. I have a co worker who has a pair with the lock on the inside. I was hoping for the same pair. Well I guess Stanley is like other companies and have several different models. I plan on keeping these. The lock is on the outside but it does have a spring to unlock it automatically. It also rotates upwards not down like most others.It's still a Stanley and seem to be the quality they have always had.

Perfect!
Used this tool to cut metal backup camera plate with adhesive to size and shape needed to fit space above my dash. It was like a knife through butter with nice, straight edge. Has definitely earned place in my tool box. Highly recommend to others.

Cut Metal Like Butter

Ok, But Maybe I Set Bar Too High
Tool appears and works well. I bought these due to the auto release and brand name. May just be me, but they just do not appear to be same quality we used to get from Stanley, some years ago. Maybe I should have slowed down, and shopped a bit more.
