Extremely Bright and compact but turns on unintentionally and kills battery.
Well I think I just about said it in my title. I purchased two of these for Christmas. I have another Olight, the 600 Lumen S21 or something. It's great. I have carried it daily for about two years now.I bought this one since the LED in my other light it dying. This one is really bright and portable, but I have found it turned on with half the battery life drained more than once. Mind you, I opened this package on Christmas for myself so as not to reveal one of my Girlfriend's stocking stuffers. That was 9 days ago.I have already killed two CR123A batteries due to this problem and my lady has also found it turned on, in her purse. This is a design flaw and I would not recommend buying this product unless you do not intend to carry it. ...which makes its portability useless.

Very nice EDC light
Just received it today (fast delivery) to add to the many flashlights I already have (few dozen).Likes:Compact size 1xCR123a (plus I ordered/received another box of 40 Tenergy CR123a cells as my stash is getting low, mostly SureFire cells).Clips to hat brim - clip can be turned around should one desire. Bit stiff, but its new..Tail stands - I do use the tail stand feature on other flashlights, always a plus.Memory - turns back on to the brightness last used.Magnetic base - will come in handy at work - could come in handy under vehicle hood etc.Strobe - See last note below.Moonlight - although it might be fun to blast and sear the wife's eyeballs when she's asleep, this feature does allow those times I need to get up at dark and not disturb her. (RRT-01 is great for that too).I mostly EDC a Jetbeam RRT-01 (great flashlight) in the CR123a size and this Olight is smaller, but the RRT-01 has non-step brightness adjustable ring. I wanted another 1xCR123a light and this seems to fill the bill nicely. I know I'll use the magnetic base feature now. Plus clip to hat fishing, frees the hands. Not as small as my Olight i1 (in polished SS) - bright and very compact, but I find it in the i1 SS version a little slippery.I seem to mostly gravitate to CR123a cell flashlights (single cell), for the little shorter length compared to my AA cell flashlights. Some single CR123a cell flashlights can put out a good bit of light which I'll use on occasion (i.e. check up the trail at night), maybe not like my EA4, but the compact size makes it easy to EDC.Time will tell, but I'm liking the S10 so far a lot. I'll carry it for awhile with my RRT-01 as having 2 compact flashlights when having to walk back to the vehicle during dark never hurts.Last note - I've used a strobe feature once when a motorcyclist was down on the road at night around a sharp curve on a busy road. The cars coming were swerving so close because they couldn't see well around a blind curve. I used a strobe aimed at the curve which they could see - well before their headlights came upon us. The strobe cause the vehicles to really brake and slow down (probably thinking cop/emergency) way sooner compared to before I got the strobe idea going. That's a long story short - but the strobe feature (although one may never thinking of using it) allowed me to get the fella back to his senses and off the road... could have probably kept me from getting hit too... never know and I never thought about it on other flashlights until it came in handy. This Olight S10 Baton has the strobe feature which is a plus to me. Oh, the light I used back then for the road incident was my Fenix L12 AA 1xAA cell flashlight that I sat on the top of my vehicle, aimed toward the curve of oncoming cars. I think I would have used the magnetic base feature had I had one at the time - stuck to the back of my SUV aiming straight back.Enough yapp'n

Decent light but has some mistakes
Overall, this light looks good on paper and does well in practice, but has some shortcomings.First of all, this light is bright, compact(very much so),and has moderate run times. But the real attraction to this light is the small size, which makes it fit in a pocket quite easily.Another good thing about this light is the "moonlight mode" at around .5 lumens this mode is by far the most useful of all the settings, and easily the most used on mine,so I give them props for putting an instant access to it in the user interface. And now for the not-so-great.I have two major problems and one minor problem with this light.(1) the user interface on this light is all run through a single button, and this in and of itself is fine, but they put in too many modes and complex sequences to rely on a single button for control,so if you turn the light OFF in the 1/2 lumen mode and next time you turn it back on,you want to use the high mode, you have to turn on the light let off the button then press and hold for approximately 1 second then it cycles up to the LOW setting, then you wait 1 more second for MED.,then 1 more second for high power,it's just bulky.(2) The more serious of the two major issues is the battery life, when you use rechargeables (I have not tested to see different with primary cells) if you have the light on and the battery runs short on power instead of gracefully descending to the next setting down like other lights in this price range and size class,it goes out and stays out. Nothing is worse than pulling this light out and using it for about 30 mins. (Or in most cases less than that) on high and having it go black, then your only option is the moonlight mode. As I have found this be true for another light from olight, and it has seriously affected my buying of their products as it is bad enough to justify not purchasing this light in my book. In that regard,if your intended use is to EDC this light,I would not recommend this light to a friend. The minor issue is merely a personal preference I suppose, but to me the pocket clip is way to tight to use and I often find myself just dropping it in my pocket, which is why this is a minor issue because the size of the light permits simply placing it in you pocket. But again, over all,I would not recommend this light really. Bottom line,I say keep your money.

Stick with the cheap ones
I purchased an olight M10 for my dad at Xmas. It seemed like a very good light and he was very happy with it. So, I purchased this light from Olight as it seemed to fit my EDC needs a bit better. Got it in the mail quickly via Prime, put in a fresh battery and...nothing. Checked the battery, put in a new one and...Nothing! Sending it back this week. Now I hear all the time about how you have to buy a surefire or other brand name like Olight because "would you want to risk your life on a Phoenix or Ultra Fire" Well, I can tell you have have purchased many of the latter and never, I mean never ever had a problem with one of those lights. I have broken a few, I tend to be hard on lights, but never had one fail to turn on. I wanted something smaller for EDC and well, now I have to start over. Very disappointed to say the least.

Fantastic
Great little torch, it's tiny, very very bright and of a solid well made rugged metal construction. Easily fits in a pocket and very easy to operate. Perfect for a handbag for the ladies or in a jacket pocket for the lads. The magnetic end is also a great touch and works really well. I carry it everywhere now as it's so much better than using a phone when you need a light unexpectedly. Really really pleased with it and I'll be getting another for the wife. Top product!

empfehlenswert
tolles Teil, klare Kaufempfehlung!

Excellent torch for such a compact size
I was looking for a decent carry torch or torch for glove-box of my car, and after some reviews online etc I came across this Olight S10.It has 3 light settings controlled by holding down the power button while one, and the brightest level is excellent in the dark. Fantastic beam from such a small package and the low setting is great when just walking in the dark down the road. It also has a strobe mode but pressing the button twice quickly although I have no need for this unless I want to give my neighbours a headache. The magnet on the bottom is strong and I've used it now when fixing under my car and general use, although if you put it in you're pocket with loose change, obviously some is going to stick to the back of it.There is also a clip on the side for you're belt or pocket. it's a very strong clip, so much so it can be a little awkward to put it back on you're belt but with a little practice, it becomes no effort.Very happy with this torch and I would definitely recommend it as a carry torch.

A unique product
The only torch I have found that will work with rechargeable, 3.7v batteries the same size as well as with single use CR123. Also an excellent and durable mechanical design, waterproof and easy to operate with flexible settings and an easy lock setting.
