Exceptionally Light and Comfortable
I have been looking for an ultralightweight shoe to wear around camp or for stream crossings while backpacking. This is an incredibly light shoe that will satisfy both purposes. Lots of room for the toes to spread out - very important at the end of a long day on the trail. And they will pack down fairly flat. It will be very difficult to find any shoe lighter than these vivobarefoot shoes

I like them very well
I like them very well. Only drawback is the bottom is too thin. If it were thicker they would be perfect. As is if you step on rock it's going to hurt.

Not for street ware
These are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. However the soles showed significant wear within a few weeks. I contacted Barefoot Company and they said the shoes are "water shoes" and not meant for streetwear. Buyer beware.

Finally found a good camp shoe for backpacking
Finally found a good camp shoe for backpacking. I don't think there is anything else out there that is this light and stays on your feet when crossing quick moving rivers. Very nice!

Interesting Buy
I am a runner mostly on the balls of my feet. I thought I would buy these to try running in and light walking and use on the beach. I found they were spacious on the sides around the toes, but that was not a problem. I ran in them and found that the because the sole is thin you can feel any sharp stones on pavements. The shoes forced me to run on the ball of my foot which was hard work at first, but the calves and ancles get a real workout. Once used to it the lower legs become stronger due to the higher plyometric activity. There is less heal on the shoe so there was less heal strike and impact through the knees and hip. I was forced to glide more than jog up and down. I ran in wet grass and they were fine. The holes meant they dried our real quick, no funky foot smells in th efront porch. Quick adjustment of the lasses meant I can run with them loss or tight, either is fine. Even though my feet slip ever so slightly inside when wet this did not matter as the extra space meant that my toes were not rubbing. I have no blisters. This winter I will try running with them in socks. So far so good. If the sole does not wear out too quick ( the big if) I plan to get another pair.Ps people look at them and say what are those on your feet?

Adequate for treadmill work
Allow for swelling of feet!Simple design, perhaps does not imply a lot of thought has gone into it - product gives you the impression that it should be cheaper than it should be.First impression was a pair of crocs with fancy holes!

Better than flip flops but not as good as trainers
The shoes are very thin on the sole, will wear through quickly, and are expensive when taking that into consideration.I also got a blister wearing them without socks, as the back of the ankle support folds in against my heel.On the plus side they are roomy for the toes, and the lace method is good whereby you just pull a tag like on a rucksack.Only suitable for the beach, or light leisure

As barefoot as you can get without ditching shoes!
Although feels large at first these perform well.A huge step forward in footwear and great fun being able to hit all the puddles!
