If you are installing a tune on your vehicle, this is a great option as it offers the 12v 20A power supply feature most tuners recommend when doing tune installation. I also like that the settings are quite easy to use and you have multiple amp options when charging. Doesn't have a "start" feature, which for me is perfectly fine since I have other options for that. Used on my 2020 Audit Q3 when installing a APR stage 3 IS38 turbo tune which takes a bit longer than a Stage 1 or 2 tune. Would also work great for VW given they share the same engine, etc platforms as the Audi's. Just verify the recommendations on power for the specific tune you are installing.

I bought this in February 2021 as my old charger stopped working. Was sat in the box until a few days ago when I needed to charge the car as it hadn't been used for a few weeks. Switched it on after connecting it to my battery terminal and went inside the house for a gfew minutes. Luckily I came back out to check it and smoke was pouring out of the side vents. I switched it off and could hear burning noises coming from inside the box for several minutes. I then wnt to see my Amazon order to request a replacement and found there was no option, as apparently this had been shipped from the US. This could be a one off but it could have set light to my car or worse if it was charging in the house. To add insiult to injury I can't even replace it. Last time I buy electricals from Amazon

Used in a dealership setting for module programming seems to keep voltage levels up. This is a very durable charger and works fantastic. It’s very convenient that it comes with a place to store the clamps and cord.

Been using one about 4 years in a dealership. Holds batteries around 12-14V during module programming, had it on EV 12V systems for hours without an issue even with batteries below 70% state of charge. It's not a high-end charge that'll put out 50A, but it does the job at 20A. It worked great until I dropped it and it stopped working, " note this was probably the 68724582 time I dropped it" lol. So that was completely my fault. So, I bought two more, one for home and one for work. So if you're looking for something that can maintain battery health at 20A, this charger is worth it.
