Magnum Top Load LED Digital Vault with RFID Access

This is my second BD product and unlike my other one I really like this vault. It's sturdy, and the keypad / RFID work great. Spring loaded hinge is a must for fast access as is the interior LED light (make sure to cut some foam away from the light area though to increase the coverage)Things I like:Sturdy, well made vault. Spring hinge, interior LED light, RFID works (and the reader isn't so weak you have to be precise about placement)Areas of improvement:Move the RFID reader to an upper corner of the entry panel rather than close to the power buttonPre-drill mounting holes in the bottom! (I mounted mine above a cupboard and had to remove the foam and drill my own - not a big deal but seems silly they don't do that. Also, once done with drilling, I sprayed the foam with 3M Super 77 and replaced - the single little strip of double sided tape is weak and nearly worthlessI have big hands and can barely work the keypad with one hand blind due the massive spacing between each button. Thankfully I usually use the RFID reader however in the event I had to under stress I doubt I could use the key pad without climbing on a stool to see them....why so much space between each button??This vault satisfies my desire to keep tools close by, secure and safe (legal requirements) and I feel it would take a bit of doing to get into it via conventional brute force, though I haven't seen anybody try that yet. Our new state law once again transfers legal culpability onto the already law abiding homeowner and requires we be able to prove safe/secure storage in the event a thief / scumbag breaks in to steal things = this vault does that, and is truly functional.

Solid, well made vault. Quick & easy to open even in the dark. Programmable buttons light up when vault activated. Top springs open and does not need to be held in order to retrieve contents. Instructions are clear - tho it took this operator a couple attempts to program it due to my own errors! Easily holds my two handguns. To date, I have no cons to report. I also have no comments on the available methods of securing it to something solid as that is not a concern for me. I bought it simply to keep guns away from growing & inquisitive grandsons!

Very simple working safe. The safe is solid and tough. I use this safe to store keys. I know this may be a little excessive and there are plenty of cheaper key safes but I liked the programmable code which was super easy to set and change. The locking cord seems a little flimsy but that didn't diminish the value of safe for me.

Has opened everytime, no issue at all. I like the light and ability to silence the tones when pressing the buttons. Had for almost a year now and check it every couple weeks.

Pluses: 87360 possible combinations. Fast entry iwith combination. Lit keys. Interior light. Lid pops up when opened. Silencer switch. Low battery alarm. Takes AA instead of 9v battery. RFID works through my wallet.Cons: Cable only. Cable may come loose when safe is open. No predicted holes.Fits my H&K VP9 with spare mag. Ideal bedside gun safe.

This seems to be a well made safe. Fit and finish looked very good. A major problem for me, however, is the absence of predrilled holes for mounting screws or bolts. The safe did include a cable but that wasn't my ideal method to secure it. Returned it for another model that does have mounting holes..

I purchased 2 units each was defective in different ways.0 quality control.

I couldn't be happier. The cable lock goes around a support under the driver seat. I didn't order with fingerprint reader, because my fingerprints are hard to read. I use the button combination and/or the RFID key fob. Works great and keeps my weapon, and extra mags secure when I am away from the vehicle (in the bank etc.)
