How do these compare to the Fanning?

Compared to the Fannings I bought in 2016 these are much tighter for people with wide feet but have a more cushioned feel.

Are these that much different from the reef phantoms?

They are different. The sole has more cushion.

Awhile ago Reef was going to the dogs. Hopefully they're coming back to earth. Are these very comfortable and true to size??

My husband got them and loves them. Super squishy and comfortable. Have a nice arch and your feet don’t slip when wet. True to size.

Do they have the bottle openers and plastics in the heels

No, there are no additional openers or gadgets in the heel. Just a plain black rubber sole.
