Not sure what you mean by that. The speed at which it removes the wallpaper depends on the paper and how much glue as used. Also if the wall was primed before the paper went up. Using the large nozzle the paper came off for me in a 6 foot section of wall in around 20 minutes. The biggest problem I had was the glue that was still on the wall. Not sure if I should use the steam to help remove it. The time consuming part of that was rinsing out the towel that gets saturated with the glue. The temp of the steam of course is 212 degrees - won't go higher unless it is under pressure. The speed probably is partially dependent on the amount of steam delivered to the wall but more dependent on how fast the steam penetrates the wallpaper to get to the glue to soften it. Using this compared to with just a wallpaper remover liquid was amazing. Would never go back and not use this.

Q: Has anyone tired it on wallpaper that has been painted over? How does it work?

Works great. Used it on wallpaper and paint as old as 90 years (about 8 layers deep over plaster). Wallpaper back then was flour paste based and paper and of course lead paint. I tried the scoring and it didn't help me. What worked best in my situation was a combination of a 6-8 inch wide metal sheetrocker mud trowel and a little 2" flexible Red Devil putty knife. The wide trowel could really get going and take off big chunks and the putty knife could loosen the edges enough to get the big trowel underneath and get into the smaller areas and corners.Also used steamer to take up whatever goo was used to put down lineoleum flooring back then. Worked well enough to get enough off to allow the original wood floors to be refinished.

Im sure it will and probably better that a garment steamer.

The walls that I used my steamer on were half paint and half wallpaper. The paint was softened by the steam and would peel off with the wallpaper. I would assume that the steamer would take off the painted wallpaper without a problem if it is scored well.
