Jhoon Rhee: An Interview with The Taekwondo Grandmaster: (One-on-One Interview from whistlekick Martial Arts Radio)
C**O
A "Must Read" for any Jhoon Rhee fan or any martial artist
I first met Grand Master Jhoon Rhee when he opened his first school in Wash., D.C. The year was 1962 and I was 15 years old. His ability in Taekwondo was absolutely amazing, especially to a 15 year old who had never seen anything like it. He soon became my hero and remains so to this day. So anything with GM Rhee's name on it, I have to have.I cannot tell you how excited I was when I came across this interview. As Mr. Lesniak says, GM Rhee was very gracious in taking the time for the interview. As I have been saying for over 50 years, the only thing greater than GM Rhee's martial arts ability is his humility. With his back ground in the martial arts, Mr. Lesniak knew what questions to ask. He started by asking GM Rhee what brought him to the martial arts. He also asked him about the philosophies that shaped his life and made him the man he was. It was the greatest honor of my life to be GM Rhee's student. In closing, I just want to say that Mr. Lesniak had the greatest respect for GM Rhee and it will be apparent to anyone who reads this interview
