I bought this camera combo way back in April along with the GPS kit and the Hard wire kit.It is very easy to use with all the controls and menus being on the touch screen and self explanatory.Whilst I could run it all off of the cigar lighter kit provided with no problems I desired to go the extra mile and have the GPS kit and the hard wire kit connected which were extra but well worth the money. With the GPS sensor fitted when the camera is in record mode it tracks the cars Direction,speed,date,time and Lat/Lon position Globally and the information is also transferred to the Micro Sd card and appears with all details on playback. You can fit a micro SD card up to 128gb and it works perfectly.Although the cameras front and rear are only 1080p they are both Wide screen high quality Sony devices with very good low light properties and anti dazzle feature which helps protect against headlight glare.If you have a 4k tv with a USB input it will do its best to upscale the playback footage from the micro sd card to near native 4k and the detail I can tell you is excellent.Both cameras see in wide screen and therefore capture much more information than a conventional camera can (if you are using it as a rear view mirror which is ideal) when driving and sees a much wider view front and rear than your door mirrors can at a glance and thus eliminates blind spots and loiter time with your eyes off the view in front looking at door mirrors. A plus point is the rear view camera is behind all passengers and therefore eliminates any distractions in car behind the driver.If there is one thing I would note is that the rear view through this mirror makes things look further back than they actually are in the door mirrors so that must be made allowance for when changing lanes or overtaking but the extra width info gained is in my opinion a good trade off.When I first fitted the GPS Sensor there was a speed tracking fault on recorded playback but after a quick email to Pormido Service they very quickly sent me a Firmware update which cured the problem.The Customer Service at Pormido is excellent and their speed to make things right quickly is second to none. Email them with confidence that your problem will be solved.I had a few problems wiring up the Hard wire kit myself and had to get my garage tech to identify the right connections in the end and fit it as my car (Volvo XC90 ) has 5 fuse boxes and beat me in the end as to the best take off points but it was worth it.With every thing working properly you can set both cameras to work front and rear recording your journey in real time and when the car is parked and locked up with you away from the vehicle in parking monitor mode, if the car is driven into or knocked it records 30 seconds of the accident instantly and protects the recording.There is even the ability to record 12/24 surveillance mode with this combo secretly and without anybody knowing (Dead handy say for instance in motorway service stations when you come back to your car and find someones bashed a car door on your colour co-ordinated rubbing strip)the only limitation being how good your car battery is.....Worried about a drained battery?...Dont worry they've thought of that as well as you can select three different voltages to switch things off long before the voltage drops too low to start your car again.The front camera is not stuck on the back of the mirror like a lot of other model mirror cams on the market and is unique to my knowledge at the moment in that it can be stuck anywhere on the front screen for best performance and even maneuvered 360 degrees to obtain best view.That alone in my opinion makes it a class leader.You can even wire the rear camera to act as a reversing mirror when you reverse with adjustable reversing lines via the touch screen.There's even a take off wire off of the rear camera wiring that you can fit to one of the reversing bulbs to allow you to do this.All in all this is a fantastic piece of kit and you should buy it with confidence ....you will not be disappointed.Really PORMIDO 10 /10 for this is your best effort yet.UPDATE 2022. I have had this superb piece of kit for just over a year now and am so impressed with it and what it has captured when out and about that we have decided to buy another for my wife's car.It has been fault free and I cannot imagine being without it now.I think one of my favourite features of it is when your coming off of a slip road onto a duel carriage way or motor way, the rear view camera is so wide view that you can see back into the lane your going into before you have even left the slip road which makes for greater safety and gives you the confidence to pull out without your eye's loitering on your wing mirror for too long or straining your neck to see back up the lane before you pull out which adds to the time your not looking forward and your eyes are off forward vision where they should be.I still a year later have found nothing to match this product for quality and usability and still Pormido....Well done.... 10/10 .....a truly excellent product.Buy with confidence ....you will not be disappointed.

After the extensive review, so I toke the leap of faith and bought it! A decision I didn't regrets.InstallationQuite simple as plug and play; However, if your planning to hardwired it (you need a special kit, sold separately) and if your confident with installing yourself, like I did, its also not too hard, if you done your research and plan the cables layer in your car, and which fuse slots to use. I've uploads some photos for example on my Mini.Camera qualityAs for the picture quality, its superb even though just a 1080p standard comparing to a 4k camera is not half bad.However, this cameras picture quality comes alive at night (see photos) its so vivid and clear, thanks to the Sony lenses its used. Great night mode, one of the best I've tested so far!Build QualityThe build quality of the mirror screen is excellent, very intuitive to use, look and feel very premium. Front camera casing can be improve, its looks and feel a bit cheap, however, the rear camera build is quite good, aluminum casing feel and look premium.AddonThere two extra addons you could add to this kits ; hardwired kit with parking mode and a GPS Antenna (sold separately) at a reasonable price £22.99 and £21.99 respectively.Customer ServiceAs far as customer service goes, they are excellent, I can not fault them. They got back to me so fast on an enquiry, they putting other established brand customer service to shame. Very attentive and customer service focus. Big Thumbs up!Things to improveClearer instructions on the hardwire kit, and have a piggy back options on the fuses if the slots are filled.The mirror screen can be quite glary during the day, they provided an ant-glare screen film to combat it but can be improve further.Overall I am very impressed with the kit, can't rated high enough.

Bought this mirror front and rear camera for my motorhome as we have no rear mirror. My first concern was the length of the cable supplied. It is only 33 feet long and I need just over 40 feet for the motorhome. No problem with the supplier. They are sending me one free of charge as soon as they come back into stock.To let me get away this weekend I temporarily used the cable supplied and fully installed the mirror and camera.What a dawdle. Firstly the product was supplied in great packaging which presented very well. The camera it’s self are both very solid and sturdy and have been supplied with all the fitting materials necessary.Now to the mirror itself. What a sturdy piece of kit. The quality is excellent and you know as soon as you lift the mirror from the box that it is going to work well.Easy installation of all the cables using the informative manual that was included.Having only just installed the mirror and cameras I can say that it is meeting all my expectations.The quality of the images are very clear and distinct. I have not yet tried it in night mode but I will follow up with another review when I have. The on-screen touch menu is excellent. You quickly navigate your way through all the options.There are plenty of videos on YouTube which show the mirror in operation. They do not miss anythingAn added benefit is the voucher you get with the kit which gets you free products to work with the mirror. I am going to get the GPS and purchase the hardwire kit for 24 hour monitoringYou will know from the review I am very pleased and that does not come easy to me.Thanks for a great product and excellent customer service and communication.

Crisp, clear picture and screen -- a pleasure to look at and see the true HD details of everything behind you. It's important to emphasize the quality of the display again. It's sharp and HD.Good brightness (at or near max setting). Nice, clean look to the mirror. Fits nicely over a standard Chevy Volt mirror, with about 1 cm additional size around it. Rubber straps hold it in place well around the OEM mirror. Best thing is having the front camera be separate, otherwise you either can't place the mirror centered over the original, or you do but then have the camera sticking out to the left and blocking some of your view (with the other one-piece models). With this one, you just hide the front camera behind your mirror, and it's not affected when you move/adjust the mirror screen.Amazing night vision, unless it's almost pitch black out. My stock rearview camera has a little more gain (or perhaps benefits from the white reverse lights), but with the littlest available light, the PORMIDO camera shows as if the scene is well-lit. The night time view (rear or front) looks much nicer than the real life view (better lighting on-screen and more comfortable contrast, rather than complete darkness and complete brightness of headlights as you see out the window).Very wide view. If camera is mounted near the top (closer to the roof line) of your rear window, the view is so wide it even shows you your left/right blindspots. But be careful because objects (even directly behind you) appear much farther away than they actually are. Like, farther than the right mirror even shows. This is probably due to the very wide angle view and because I've mounted my camera near the roof/window line of my rear window, not like a backup camera at the license plate. But I did that so I could see the widest view rather than just the bumper of the car behind me.Good touch controls. Can easily switch between rear/front view, or split-screen combination view. The rear/front views only show the middle horizontal slice of the picture (since the mirror screen is so wide). You can slide up/down to adjust which "slice" of the picture you want to see. The split screen view shows the full video frame, slightly vertically squished. I wish there was a way to choose which was on the left and which on the right (it shows the front on the left), and to make it display more of a slice like the full mirror view, since often the full picture has some unnecessary area.Wires come out the top neatly. They can be routed into the headliner of your car and around the door weatherstripping. A handy tool is provided to help with this.The GPS works nicely for speed and direction, but it occasionally loses signal. However, I find the lane picture beside the compass and speed kind of non-beneficial (it just covers up part of the picture, and appears very bright in full white at night). I wish I could choose to display only the direction and speed text without the extra graphics. I don't know if it's related to the lane keeping assist, which doesn't seem to work. However, the entire speed/direction/graphic can be turned on/off in the menu. The speed limit warning does work, if selected.The menu system is nice. Everything is clearly legible and is controlled through the full touch screen. It's a text-based menu where you scroll up/down through a few pages of settings, each page having about 4 lines. You must pause the recording before going into the menu, though. But if you forget to start it afterwards, the system will automatically start it after a few seconds which is good.Note that if you plan to use the in-room camera (not included), you will have to manually contact the seller and get a link to do a firmware upgrade. Then, even if it's disconnected, you will still always see 3 spaces in the split screen view. I would have liked the ability to choose which 2 to see, or to see all 3, and choose the order.Video played in standard Windows 10 media player no problem. It has a folder for the Front and one for the Rear. The files are timestamped (if you've set the time, or have the GPS antenna connected), so it should be easy to match them.Great quality product. Very presentable gift box as well. Must buy!

The hight of the Pormido mirror could be larger , because the Fiat Bravo mirror is not hidden behind it...

I replaced Rexing M1 Pro with Pormido as Rexing was turning off all the time due to the engine auto off/on. Also was not bright enough and had a tough time with the glares and reflection on sunny days. Pormido comes with antiglare screen, and works well in sunny days. Screen is really bright. Video quality is 1080p. Comes with GPS antenna and really long rear camera wire for long vehicles. Super happy with the purchase.
