I have a short haired mixed breed. She sheds all the time and this has helped with shedding. I comb very lightly, because the teeth are very sharp.

This was not the brush I was looking for. It shaved off the fur rather than combing out the loose fur. I returned it.

I am very surprised at how large this thing is. My little chihuahua is a bit to small for this but there's no shortage of dog like verse in my circle so it's make an A+ gift. This is very nice and not like the garbage elchepo version of what you will find at Walmart or dollar stores. Very well put together and well worth the price asked.I was lucky enough to get a discounted price to try this item out and let people know how it worked out for me. I am actually impressed with how well this brush works. I have two long hair cats who I swear shed more fur than possible. I have tried multiple brushes and none really actually seem to help with the shedding issue, until now. This Brush is great for general brushing as well as taking out kitty dreadlocks. One of my cats who loves being brushed was just as happy with this brush as with any other brush. My cat who does not like being brushed or having any attention from humans at all was okay with this brush. When I was finished I had a giant fur pile the size of a whole other cat. I am incredibly happy with my purchase and this brush works just as well as the way more expensive ones from the pet store. Actually my friend had a brush that looks almost identical but she paid over 50 dollars for it and mine works just as well.The only thing I would say I didn't really like was the packaging which is not in English except for a small instructions part at the bottom of the back of the package. This in no way is a deal breaker and did not effect the quality of the brush. I just don't think it would make a nice gift. I did receive this product at a discount in exchange for a review.Overall I would and probably will purchase again.

This is very similar to the Furminator by another company. I have owned the one as well and we love it. This one had a better feature which is that the blade can come out. There is a quick release lever for getting the blade out. The blade is sharp and comes with a little safety cover. We have 3 dogs...a lab, a lab/springer, and a st. bernard mix. That is a lot of hair to keep track of. I love that this tool gets the hair out and keeps it on the brush til you take it off. It didn't seem to take out as much hair as the Furminator but that is a good thing. One summer I brushed my poor lab bald in spots because it took too much hair off.This product was provided at a discounted price in exchange for my honest review.

For the money this thing costs it's a good deal. It doesn't have the physical weight of the Furminator or the little hair discharge button but then again you are only paying 1/3 of that cost. The pink I received was nothing like the pink in the pic but that doesn't really matter to me.
