Q: Does this trickle charge the battery? What is its purpose if the Elliptical charges the battery anyway? Does it allow long periods of disuse?

I keep it plugged in all the time. My battery was dead from the previous owner not using elliptical, the cord allows me to use my elliptical without replacing the battery. I don't know if it charges the battery, sorry. I've gone months not using my elliptical and the cord keeps the ellectronics on.

If the battery was dead ,the AC adapter only power on your device .

I bought this cord because my precor elliptical wouldn’t stay on, this cord allows the screen to stay on. Haven’t used my elliptical in a couple years, but screen stays on with cord plugged in. Hope this helps.
