Are there 2 pair of socks?

Yes! It should be two pairs! If one is missing, let Amazon know and return it, so they can replace it with a new one! My first order had the plastic wrap ripped open with a pair of socks missing, but I got one that’s unopened now :)

If I have a shoesize of 6 for US mens then what is my sock size?

These are adult-sized socks. I ordered my 10-yr-old size small for his size 6-7 men's foot. You could prob up it to a medium and be fine too if he's a big kid or due for a growth spurt!

Are these thick socks? It get really hot during play time, and I want to get some socks that aren't going to add to the heat.

No, they are not super thick but they aren't flimsy either.

Would the small fit a 9 yr old that wears size 4 youth

I have 9 year old twins that wear size 6 and 7 and the medium is pretty long on them but not baggy. The small might be better for size 4.
