OXO Good Grips Stainless Steel Splatter Screen with Folding Handle

I just love this! It works, no splatters to clean. Plus it’s well made and could not get over how easy it is to clean!

Great splatter deflector. It reduces at least 80% of the fine grease spatter and 100% of the big bits that might fly of with it. Does it eliminate needing to clean the stove? No, but it makes my life much easier. I love the folding handle. I have a gas range and have had no issues with discoloration of the metal. There is some color where I accidentally subjected the steel to direct fire, but that's what happens when you try to burn metal. Zero impact to it's function. If this one wears out, then I will buy another.

I have quite a few pieces of OXO hardware in my kitchen, and am always impressed by the value proposition they bring with them. While not as high end as some products, they are generally very well designed and manufactured, and are extremely durable. This Good Grips splatter screen is no exception to the rule: it is an excellent product for the money. The screen is not a traditional mesh screen, rather, it's a solid piece of stainless steel with perforations in it to allow steam to escape. The screen fits any pan up to thirteen inches in diameter, and has several concentric rings which helps it sit properly atop most frying pans. The screen, while very good, is not perfect. The handle is a design compromise that I would have wished to be better engineered. It folds for easy storage, which is a great feature, but doesn't positively lock in place. Although by design it shouldn't ever fold while in use, I have found that inattention can occasionally result in it starting to fold unexpectedly. It contains grease spatter very well, but the price paid for the perforated stainless is that you can't observe the food cooking in the pan during use without lifting the lid. Again, this is a minor consideration, but I think these two things in combination are worthy of a one star penalty. I have used this screen very frequently, and it's my favorite splatter screen of any sort that I have ever used. It's durable, well made, easy to store and ingeniously designed: I recommend it to cooks everywhere.

My husband gets so mad at me because I rarely turn on the vent fan over our range when cooking. But when I hear things sizzling and splattering about, I absolutely reach for a splatter screen first. I had a set of 3 mesh splatter screens that I loved. 3 different sizes for different sized pans. They claimed to be dishwasher safe but over time, they rusted and one handle eventually broke off. When looking for a new splatter screen I came across this one and immediately loved that is was Oxo brand as I believe they are great quality products. I also loved that this was a one size fits all screen, meaning I only needed to store one and not 3. In addition, the folding handle option is awesome! It allows me to easily store it in cabinets and in the dishwasher. In addition, it feels sturdy like it will not break off easily. As far as the ability to keep my range top clean and limit splatter, it does a good job. But I have found with almost any splatter screen, you are never going to have complete avoidance of some grease getting on your counters/stove top. But this one definitely helps limit that a lot. In addition, it fits great over all of my pans. It is very very large! My only complaint is that it is so large that it actually gets a bit stuck in the dishwasher when I am pulling the bottom rack out and pushing it back in. But as long as I am careful about how it is leaning when I do this, it is fine.

Great design! It works beautifully, as most OXO products do. It even worked well on my littlest 7" diameter saucepan. The handle has a nice solid comfortable grip that my arthritic fingers can grip and hold effortlessly. Easy to wash the screen, and the handle collapses with a simple push of a button for flat storage. Again I'll say, great design OXO. I'm thrilled to finally find a good splatter screen that works as advertised.

This screen is so perfect for frying anything in skillets (has even doubled as a quick lid for blanching vegetables). Dishwasher safe, easy to use & folds away. So perfect!

It’s a good overall size but the holes need to be smaller to catch more grease. I love how the handle folds bc thats the only way it fits in my dishwasher. It is cheap and light and feels like it will last s long time but we will have to wait and see.

Good splatter screen that fits multiple pan sizes. Folding handle and dishwasher-safe means that this is easy to wash and store. Holes large enough to let steam escape while preventing oil splatters. Highly recommend.

Tener presente que solo vale para las sartenes de la marca o si se da la coincidencia de que la que tengas sea del mismo diámetro en mi caso probé con tres y en ningún caso coincidió la medida.

Very happy with this splatter screen. It's well made, easy to clean, made of good stainless steel and the fold-up handle is a great feature that saves on space. One of the foods that splatters the most is fresh peppers (because of their high moisture content), they splatter a lot, especially when first put into a frypan with hot oil, this keeps the splatter to a minimum allowing for much less clean up of the benchtop and range. Happy with my purchase.
