Barbie Fashionistas Doll - Fab Fringe

This Barbie is a gift for my sister that she just begin into Barbie's collection. I hope she will like it. Beautiful!

She's great! Great sculpt, unusual hair (red and natural, a hard to find combo!), and good plastic. She has a lot of weight to her and as a result of her leg articulation that lets you move her legs outwards as well as forward and backwards, she can be put in a free-standing pose with no aid. I'm still taken by the novelty of a barbie that can stand on its own.It's a shame she has no other articulation besides the upper leg and shoulder joints, but she's a great doll for what she is. Kids will be able to use her for all sorts of games with what she can do, and she'll stand out among the other barbies.

My daughter is 5 (and a half-very important to note 😄) and is mixed. She had been saving her piggy bank and gift money and decided she wanted a couple Barbies. This is the first one she picked out and absolutely loves her (she also picked the Va-va violet doll which is also really cute btw). She says it's herself when she's older and tells everyone about her new doll and that she has hair like her (minus the red- the only tragic part lol) and has played with her non-stop!I posted a couple pics and one is to show the height difference of the barbies

Purchased it for my daughter because as a woman of colour raising a child of colour representation is important.When I was growing up and I was her age, it took an entire plane trip to America from the Caribbean and more than 5 hrs shopping to locate a black dolly albeit with straightened hair but black none the less.Having a dolly that I could relate to in terms of colour was important to me. Especially since being a child whose ancestors spent years under colonial rule and having European beauty standards shoved down our throats constantly.Now I have a child of my own, I'm teaching her to appreciate her hair, complexion and height in all its gloriousness. This dolly assists with that and I must say she absolutely adores it.I purchased a book 'I Love My Hair' (by NatasHa Anastasia Tarpley) with it and whenever I tuck my daughter in bed with her dolly, I read it to both of them.I'm going to buy more from this line including the curvy ones because while we're all slim people in my family I want her to appreciate and love other body types as well.If I had to suggest one thing, it would be to expand the African American line to include dreadlocks and more coloured haired black dollies to get that black magic going. More career African American dollies as well because in a world that tells our black kids that they are limited, we need to show them they can be anything.

Received her today, and she is absolutely amazing! Her hair is in perfect conditions, and the style is what we call in Russia 'an explosion at a pasta factory', and it looks supercute. Nice outfit, beautiful face and tender skintan - a great company for my 1992 Superstar Barbie who is now a collectible - yes, not which, but who :) I found this fabulous lady and her fringe flawless, so I would definitely recommend both for little and big girls who are fans of Barbie!

My favorite thing about this doll was her hair. I really wish Mattel would make more barbies with this hair type in different lengths and colors. But this is a great start. Once again, I just wish these dolls had Movable joints, like the MTM barbies. I wasn't that crazy about her clothes, well maybe more so the combination. Like with my other one, I plan on making clothes for them. Cross your fingers that they're actually decent. These dolls sparked back my love for dolls. I went on a whim and said I'd get them no matter what. They're so affordable too. I like that the best I think. I really hope Mattel takes all these new sizes and combinations of hair types and mix it up more. But so far I really like this collection of dolls.

I wanted this doll mainly because of her face and hair. I carefully removed her head and switched it to a Made-to-Move Barbie body (yellow top) I had found for half price. This took Fab Fringe from being a stiff but pretty doll to an awesome articulated one. I wish she had come this way by default, but I digress.This is my first tall doll. As is, her body is not very articulated. Her wrists, knees, and elbows won't bend like the "fashionistas" of old. Her shirt does not open in back so you have to pull it over her head to undress/redress her. The body itself has an H shaped figure. Her feet are only slightly angled for shorter heeled shoes than what a typical barbie would have. She can stand upright in her shoes, and so can a barbie that has poseable feet. For myself as a collector the novelty of a slightly taller doll seems to wear off fast, but maybe it's different for children. I find that her head's her best feature, though her lipstick is a little pinker in person and her coils are flattened in back from the packaging.What I will complain about is the glue seepage issue that occurs with some Mattel dolls. This doll left a stain on the cardboard when I opened her up. When I removed her head to switch bodies there were sticky glue chunks all over her neck peg and in her head. I removed some of the glue, and maybe a couple of hair strands in the process, but I'd like to think she's better off with less of the gunk in there. Despite that problem I am still happy with the purchase.

Listen y'all Mommy bought this doll for herself. I am 6ft plus and its nice to see a doll that looks like me. Tall and Slim! Love love it. I saw it for like 17$ around Christmas....procrastinated and another "amazoner" bought it right out of my cart. Since then, the price was at least $32 plus.Well just my luck I saw the price drop to $19.90 and it was mines!!My daughter and I play together and its a great bonding time.FYI: because this doll is taller than the average barbie doll so some of the clothes and shoes will not fit. You have to shop for certain shoes and clothes for her.

Bonita Barbie, pero la calidad es muy básica, como todas las fashionistas. Brazos y piernas rígidos, y la calidad de la ropa es muy muy básica, sin apenas detalles y telas muy corrientes. Nada que ver con la ropa de los 90 o 2000. Genial para que los niños jueguen, no tanto para coleccionistas. Lo mejor? Gran variedad de colores de piel, de pelo, moldes de cara, y cuatro cuerpos diferentes. Paquete muy bien embalado, llegó en perfecto estado, y rápido.

Es handelt sich hier um eine Fashionista-Barbie aus der "Tall"-Reihe, und sie ist wirklich groß, größer als der Fashionista-Ryan. Ihr niedliches Gesichtchen wird von einem üppigen roten Wuschelkopf umrahmt, wobei die Haare in der Realität noch etwas wuscheliger sind als auf dem Foto, die einzelnen Locken sind nicht so klar definiert.Die Puppe ist wirklich süß und eine Zierde für meine kleine Sammlung, aber das Auspacken war ätzend:-( Die Verpackung scheint für die Ewigkeit gemacht, und ist es wirklich nötig, dass die Puppenköpfe an der Verpackung regelrecht festgetackert sind? In der Regel werden diese Puppen ja wohl für Kinder gekauft, und ich schätze, dass jüngere Kinder die Puppe nicht mal ohne Hilfe unfallfrei aus der Verpackung pfriemeln können.Übrigens können die Fashionista-Puppen - jedenfalls die vier, die ich besitze - alleine stehen, ganz ohne Ständer; es erfordert lediglich minimales Fingerspitzengefühl, die Puppe auszubalancieren. Meine befinden sich geschützt und ruckelfrei in einem Vitrinenschrank und stehen wie 'ne Eins:-)

My daughter has been after this doll for months and now she is here, she takes her everywhere! She's well worth the money and has made my 8 year old very happy!I love the new barbie fashionista range. It's great that Mattel is making dolls that (almost) represent real women.

Superbe Barbie noire avec une jolie coupe afro. Elle est grande et change un peu des barbie classiques.- Son visage est mignon et très juvénile.- Elle est plus grande que les autres Barbie et sa silhouette n'est pas la même : elle a une taille moins fine. Elle ne peut donc pas porter les mêmes vêtements que les poupées barbie ordinaires (pour moi ce n'est pas gênant car je lui ai confectionné une garde-robe) mais c'est bon à savoir avant achat, je pense.- Elle n'est pas articulée au coudes ou aux genoux.- Ses boucles sont toutes douces et se coiffent rapidement au doigt.

このシリーズはドールr好きにはすごく嬉しいいろんな人種の女の子がいて体型も、小柄系、少々ぽっちゃり系、背の高いスリム系の３種のドールをえらべますそれぞれみんなファッションもお洒落ですごく可愛いし、プライスも安いので、好みのドールを集めたいと思います。
