Good punch down tool
Good punch down tool. A tad expensive but the quality is good. It requires a bit of force to engage the impact mechanism which then thumps down so I’d be wary of using it on any sensitive surfaces such as glass. Has extra tools on the side that fold out for helping to adjust wires. Easy to hold, made from nice materials, and is a decent size. Would recommend.

Had my doubts at first
Had doubts first but it eorks as intended. 5% of the time it doesn't fully cut the end off but it cuts through the core so you can pull the end off

Excellent tool
Excellent tool. Had some doubts that this would be better than the cheaper tools but these doubts are gone. I’ve done about 300 punch downs and all perfect. The cutter doesn’t always cut completely through but this isn’t really a big problem.Only gripe is the the actual tool head has a holder to protect it but this doesn’t really hold the tool head tightly enough so risk it may fall out and get lost.

Makes it easy to do a good job
I thought that punching down terminals was hard, but it turns out that it's only hard if you have cheap tools. This isn't cheap, but it's incredible quality that makes it straightforward to terminate cat5/6 wallplates all day, every day.

Overall disappointed in a what is normally a good brand.
First off I should say that I normally rate Klein kit but this one didn't live up to the others. I do a lot of installs and needed to replace my current punch down tool and went for this one. This tool has a couple of issues, the first as others have noted the cutter doesn't work, it's not long or sharp enough which mean you have to manually trim the tails, adds time to a job. The second is the jaws don't punch down very well, comparing to my older tool the jaws looks bigger and I don't know if this impedes the punch down process. The net result in the last job I did I had to re-punch over 50% of the modules and patch panels, not great for the profit margin or my sanity. Overall pretty disappointed in what is normally a good brand.

CAT5e, 110 Termination
The good: Design and comfort is great. The BAD: Does not cut. I tried different cables, patch panel and RJ45 jack. Looks like the blade is too short to actually cut when pushing down. Used on CAT5e.I see someone commented that works on CAT6a.Cannot recommend this, for this price should be better QC, not sure if this is bad batch.
