I got these subs and I wasn't expecting the world for the price, but I'm content with them. They are made cheap, but they don't cost that much so you get what you pay for. Shipping and product are what they say. Watch the YouTube video of the guy who does an over view of them

good so far
i have the two 12" encore series subs hooked up to a 3000 watt ssl amp with the 4.5 farad capacitor still breaking the subs in but they are showing potential because they are shaking my mirrors already. the only complaint is that the trim rings were broke when i opened the box. i contacted the seller and they have two new rings on the way great sub for the price i will update when i break them in and crank them up.

Not so happy.....
Where do we start...I purchased these sub's to replace my old Pioneer champion pros(wired 1ohm and pushed at 3600 watts rated @ 3500 ) because after four years and being completely submerged under water they finally had give up on me .... I received my new VM sub's and right out of the box one of the wire connects was damage which eventually fell off and I had to fix it( don't know why they use plastic )any way so I install them in my box and decide to get them warmed up ( pioneer deck , two Boss cer 3600 class d amps ) now the speakers are wired @ 2ohm and at that my amps are only 2400 watts at best ....speakers say they are rated 3000 watts and 1500 RMS ...mind you I have an amp per speaker so there is no over load here. So any way iv got my volume on my deck at 15 and my bass knob @ 1/4 way and I drop a 50 hz note to warm up (this was about a 10 second note)....the sub that I had problems with wire connector starts to make this horrible clattering sound and then seized up....I do not believe these sub's are competition sub and probly never will be....would not recommend to anyone looking for a serious competition sub or even just a cheap one ....for $259.00 you would think they would be made better than they are..... Very disappointed.

The cost wasn't very high but they aren't a great sub. either.
I recently bought a pair of these just to compair the quality, craftsman-ship, and brand. To my JL audio 12W6v2's that are good subs but highly overrated for the price. However, thus I just installed the ECW120's and going to wear them in yet they seem of very good quality and craftsman-ship. They weren't the easiest to install but after some sanding they went in.Anyone, who thinks they can take a new sub right out of the box and place it in an enclosure giving it full recommended wattage. Doesn't know much about how subs work and will more than likely blow the new sub.I understand the wattage rating is overratted for these but giving one sub 1/2-2/3rds its recommended handling capabilities-1000w at most you should be in the clear. Just make sure w/ a 2006 compliant amp of course. I will try to update in the weeks to come after they get use to the 850 x2 watts im eventually going to push them with.(Update)I'm done breaking these in and so far they are very good compared to my JL12W6v2's. Taking the price into effect with the quality of the sub. You get 2 ECW120's for around $250 which is about half the cost of just 1 12W6V2. To me its a no brainer I just don't know if they will last 2 yrs., 3, or more like JL's and last easily 5 plus years. I do know I will have to turn the gain up on the amp some now since it was still tuned to the less drawing JL subs. That is the only down fall to these subs. They use more power to push them to the same decibals. If, your amp/s mounting space is less than 18" long you should look else where due to most amps that are going to properly put out the correct wattage for 2 of these is going to be at least 18" long. If, its any smaller I would highly doubt its actual power.Final Update:From whatever time I bought these till the date of today. Has unfortunately been over the 60 day money back period. One of the subs recently started to make a plastic on plastic noise. Due to further investigating it has been determined to be blown. After contacting VM Innovations they will replace them for to RF P3D2's. So, concluding VM Encore subs can't handle even 850 watts so there not great by any means but VM Innovations as a company is a very good company. Love my RF P3's still to date 04-11-15.

Awesome!
These have excelled my expectations. I have two hooked up to a 4000 watt planet audio amp and it makes my trunk rattle obnoxiously. I got pulled over the day because i apparently was too loud. I love them!
