Died after 2 weeks. Nice design otherwise.
I ran my new PC with this for 2 weeks before one day, I had a game open idling in the main menu when I stepped out of my room for a second and immediately heard the circuit breaker trip in my bedroom. Went to reset it and the computer wouldn't boot. After testing the power supply with the standard method of shorting the PS-ON ATX pin to ground and hooking up a spare case fan directly to the 12V rail as a load, I was able to confirm with a voltmeter that this PSU was fully dead - fan wouldn't spin up and 0V on all rails.Re-installed my old power supply and everything booted up just fine, fortunately none of my brand-new parts fried (hence me not giving 1 star). It's likely that I just got a faulty unit, but I'd be careful if you're going to buy this one. I will say that I really like how the cables are all modular so you only need to plug in exactly the ones you're going to use. On the other hand, all the wires are black, which is pretty, but I'd prefer the standard color coding scheme where each wire's voltage is indicated by the color, it makes troubleshooting easier. Will update when I hear back on the RMA process.

So far so good
I’ve had this PSU running my i9 / 1080ti for a while now. Replaced my HX1000i that blew up on me.

It really is quiet! But not perfect.
It's super quiet, even with Eco mode off, it stays cool under load, and delivers the promised power. I would probably recommend the same one to others, but with some caveats: - The bright green light on the back cannot be turned off without cutting power entirely. I guess that's the "supernova" part, because it lights up my bedroom. Any permanent fix will void the warranty, so I covered mine with black electrical tape. - One thing I hadn't considered when switching from a non-modular to a modular PSU is that the starting points of the cables are now very spread out. So instead of having one tidy bundle coming from the corner of my PSU, I have several bundles spaced out blocking airflow behind the PSU. Strapping them together doesn't make a difference because the plugs on the PSU are so far apart. - I have read that using other SATA cables aside from the ones provided by EVGA will destroy your drives. This wouldn't be a huge deal if the EVGA ones were more flexible and/or offered a right-angle option. These cables are very stiff and stick out far from the drives, so if your drives are oriented horizontally the cables may get crushed by your case.
