Excellent Emergency Light Device
This product is a must have in your car for any emergency. Works as seen. The ONLY difficulty is putting in battery HOWEVER can be done. Its tight because its made to be waterproof. I used a flathead screw driver to gently lift up on each tab end. I could not lift off by hand. Also...Much to my surprise even has a BRIGHT flashlight...I must of missed that in example along with multiple flash choices. Good purchase. Comes in a pouch which holds all 3 perfectly for storing anywhere in your vehicle.

Visibility
The lights appear to be durable and good value for the money. The only issue is the brightness/visibility. Not as visible as I was expecting so not necessarily able to use only one. Need to consider placement when using in an emergency.

Hard to open, use flat head screw driver or you'll get frustrated. 🙂
Almost returned these until I decided to look at other reviews on how to open the darn things. I used a flat head screw driver to open them after trying it bare-handed as the instructions said. Hopefully I'll never have to use them, but I feel it's a good product. I even stuck one on the fridge to use as a flashlight if power goes out. All of the settings worked fine, I'd recommend them.

Difficult battery change after as little as 10 hours of operation.
This unit comes without batteries. You must remove two screws. The instructions tell you to push on two tabs though it is not clear if they are part of the lid or the body, or if they are clip tabs. They do warn you that it may be hard to break the seal. It was. Putting the lid back on is not much easier. The screws go through holes on the lid but are difficult to line up with the embedded nuts on the bottom of the case. Once the 18 AAA batteries (3 per unit) are in place, you will have from 60 hours of battery life (on a somewhat dim low setting) to as little as 10 hours on a steady bright (as with most LED lights, the 15 LEDs are bright). Then guess what ... that's right it back to teh difficult battery change proceedure. It doesn't have to be this tough. I have a little LED flashlight (less bulbs) that lasts longer and has a MUCH easier battery change.

Very Bright Well Made
I first purchased this item for my wife and myself. After that package arrived I was so pleased that I purchased a second set for our kids. The safety flare is everything as advertised. They arrived on time and properly packaged. They appear very well made and the lights functioned properly.I haven't had to use them yet so I cannot verify how long the batteries will last. By the way, each flare requires 3 AAA batteries that are not included. Battery installation is easy if you follow the instructions that are provided. They suggest using your fingers to separate the pieces, I used a small flat screwdriver and slowly applied pressure to one tab until the seal broke.

Nice soft case to keep together
Dropping these in my truck emergency kit, just in case, plus the white light provides good flashlight backup.

Okay flares. Reccomend at a lower cost.
The media could not be loaded. I'll be honest here. I was super not impressed by the brightness and intensity of the flares at first. I tried them on a dark road with no other lights and approached them at about a half km away. They were not very visible. After some modifications, I can say they are decent but not great in that regard. A lot of the LEDs in mine were all bent which made them shoot at odd angles which effected the intensity. I was able to partially fix this by cutting down the plastic housings in the unit where the LEDs rest. Keep in mind there isn't any light reflectors or projectors to increase the light distance and intensity but they are definitely a lot better now. Also, it seems 5 out of the 6 are orange and not truly amber. Another test I did was drive over one of the flares at about 30km with a lighter car to test durability. They are tough enough. All I saw were scratches and the unit worked exactly the same. The flashlight was alright for what it is. Comparable to a phone or one of those cheap impulse buy lights near store tills. The other thing I'll mention was that the magnets were actually surprisingly strong for what they are. If you are wanting to attach them to your vehicle you definitely can. I even drove around with them on the vehicle at lower speeds and they all stayed on. Not sure how fast you would have to go for them to come off but if you are stopped on the road for an emergency or break down I don't think you'll be in motion anyway.I would say a fair price would've been closer to the 10 dollar per unit range. I want to give them a 4 star however I also never received the promised nylon bag to store them in my vehicle. Please send me the bag. I didn't expect to keep them loose in the back of the car or buy some short of storage item. The price of these flares increases when I have to do that. All in all the flares are a case of you get what you pay for. I'm sure there is way better out there for a lot more. I think these would be okay accompanied with your hazards or other amber strobes such as a mini magnetic light bar. If you are broken down and don't have power to your vehicle I would suggest getting at least a few pylons with a reflection band around them to use with these flares. Also, I tried taking pictures on the night I tested them on the road but they didn't really show much of how good the flares were so I took some in my house instead.

waterproof bright, Seems solid
Asking for a review the same day i receive the product is kind of silly but i will say what i can, first puck i tried to put batteries in has a stripped screw. but otherwise seems to work fine. the second one was good to go . no chance yet to put batteries in the other ones , does not come with a case for them like other do but for me that is ok . i think it will be easier to throw in the trunk or glove box that way. they or redish / orange in color but bright will evaluate again later on after i have a chance to try them out

Solid, Very Bright at a Distance
It took me a couple of minutes to figure out the directions to separate the 2 halves, tabs are small. But I did. Put batteries in, worked in all modes. They are quite bright from a distance. Can't comment on the battery life, but so far, so good.

Not sold as a kit
The product showed a carry case in the add and referred to the product as a kit. There was no bag included. The product requires 3 AAA batteries per unit. That's 18 AAA batteries for the "kit". This was not clear in the ad. Lights are not as good quality as other units I have purchased.

Batteries not included
Although we have not had a chance to use them on the road they look good and work well.
