Worked perfectly on 2006 Hybrid Prius!
This replacement worked perfectly for my 2006 Prius. Highly recommend following a YouTube video for installation! Took a little over an hour to install.

Touch screen replacement for Gen 2 Prius
My MFD on my Prius Gen 2 stopped working. Every one in the Prius Chat said this part was the problem. It is not an OEM but for the price, I can live with that. It is not as clear or bright as an OEM but for the price I can live with that.Definitely not a DO IT yourself super simple project. You have to dismantle your dash to get to this part. Be very careful as the parts are very old and do have hidden sun damage.You could take this to a dealer and spend HUNDREDS of dollars or do it yourself. Watch every video you can find on YouTube before you attempt this.Whatever they recommend you do, YOU DO IT TOO!I chose this specific unit. It was a bit pricier than the others on the Amazon or Ebay market but it had the most stars from users. I also asked a key question, if you were to do this again, what do you recommend?Remove the protect shipping plastic from BOTH sides of the screen. Forgetting to do the one on the backside of the screen will leave you with darker screen image. OKAY... I did that.If you going that far to fix this... look up the procedure to replace the capacitors on the odometer display. You MIGHT AS WELL do that repair too as you already have all the same dash pieces removed. Fixing it later.. same work, twice. Parts are on Amazon. Just Google Gen 2 Prius odometer/gaslevel not showing up. You will see the fix for that. Order parts at same time as ordering this part.

Like the headline says, the unit works but does have the rainbow effect and is a bit darker than the factory model. That said, it's nice to finally be able to use my climate control.

Easy to do
The instructions seemed lacking but YouTube saved the day. It’s an easy repair just took about 30 to 40 minutes. Toughest part was stressing about not breaking the dash parts. But Amazon sells those too at a good price. So no worries.

It wasn't broken when I received it!!
It appears to be the product. I will replace the old one soon and give a report later...(The digitizer has been installed and it WORKS!!!! I have complete control of my screen!!!! God is good!!!)
