I get really itchy mosquito bites that swell up and turn red, and generally, it makes me hate mosquitoes, getting bitten, and the great outdoors. I've tried everything else, from rubbing salt, toothpaste, garlic, those sticks with some kind of liquid to stop the itchiness, multiple medications. The only thing that kind of worked was taking multiple medications, but then I'm sleepy, and I'm also popping tons of pills every several hours. Also, you're carrying around a lot of kit. All the other things only worked for a short period of time, or just made it a little less itchy, so I had resigned myself to a life of itchiness. Plus, you know, since I react so badly to bites, mosquitoes are attracted to me and to no one else.I stumbled across the heated spoon trick recently, and I was desperate, so the next time I got bitten, I was just outside the house, and I tried it. It actually worked for both me and my son. However, carrying an electric kettle and a spoon out in the field isn't really feasible. So I got this nifty little item.Unfortunately, for some bites, it does not seem to work very well, but I suspect that's because they aren't mosquito bites. When I have a confirmed mosquito bite, this item is amazing. I have only done the 3 second option because it's already hot before 3 s, and I'm worried about burns. Plus, the 3 s option is enough if it's a mosquito bite.I just killed a blood sucking mosquito earlier today, and within a few minutes, I used this item, and it did try to swell up, but it wasn't itchy at all. Now, a few hours later, the swelling and the redness is gone. No itchiness.I totally recommend this item. It's convenient, it's portable, it's easy to use. Plus, you don't smell of garlic or have sticky fingers from smearing some weird paste that only sort of works for a couple hours at most, and then you're stuck trying to use other home remedies for the next couple days. In addition to healing from the weeping wound that you've scratched open.So just buy it.

Ok this might not be clear but this item heats up and it hurts when you put it on the bite HOWEVER, it stops the itch completely. Perfect if you get bit up in the Deep South and want to sleep easily without Benadryl. It’s effective, seems durable, holds a charge, sleek design but realize it does sting a little.

This is the 5th mosquito zapper I have purchased. I have recommended it to so many people it is unreal. I have one in my purse, at home, at the lake even at work! This device stops mosquito/stings from itching. Its a quick little heated burn to the bug bite. Its a tad bit uncomfortable but not unbearable. It is absolutely worth the tiny bit of inconvenience to stop the itching. Mosquitoes will walk a mile to bite me and call all their cousins! I get welps and little blisters on the bites. I will not leave home without it.

This product is amazing! I get covered in mosquito bites every summer, so I keep this in my pocketbook now&it's ready in just a few seconds. I've used it on brand new bites (which it DOES work better on), but I've used it on day old bites, as well&it still surprisingly works to alleviate the itch&welping. I have only used it on mosquito bites atm. I also have a teen I have used it on&it works good for her too. But I have to use it in particular places with my 4 yr old..there definitely is a burning/stingy feeling when using this device, so I only use it for half the time of the sensitive skin setting&only on the not-so-tender areas on her body. She knows it will make it not itch..so she doesn't cry or anything when it's applied, the sting isn't that bad...its just uncomfortable. I do believe, hands down, that the stinging/burning feel of using this device is so much better than the downside of itching constantly, welped up places that are hot to the touch& possibly get infected..this device has erased all of those issues for my household now. Would recommend to all families, but not use on any children under the age of 3 in my opinion. Value for the money was totally worth it!! It's made very well, not cheap made@all. Seems to be made like a $60+device. No smell when using. Check your pkg thoroughly when you open it@first. The batteries ARE included, they're just hidden in the box it comes in.

I have recently developed a severe reaction to all bug bites and will scratch myself raw to alleviate the itching. Nothing has worked to help ease the irritation until this device. I have used it frequently. I am an avid gardener, so staying inside to avoid being bitten is not an option, and yes I even get bitten with bug spray on.It doesn’t take the itching away completely, on all bites, but for the majority, using it once or twice on a bite greatly reduces the irritation. My husband has started using it also and agrees that it is very effective. He has a typical reaction to bug bites and it works well for him.Be forewarned, the first time you use it, you will feel it. It’s mildly unpleasant, but after that initial use, you know what to expect. I still wince when I use it, but I will continue because it works. I do use it on the lower setting and that’s enough for me.I would recommend it if you get bitten frequently. It’s totally worth it.I DO NOT recommend using it on children!
