Excellent Product to Have When Mishaps Occur!!
This was a lifesaver for me! I primarily use a laptop for my college online classes, and I switched from Windows to Mac. I am still in the learning process of figuring out how to use the MacBook Air. Somehow, still unsure how, I managed to wipe it out. I was panicking since I really need my MacBook for classes after my Windows laptop quit working. Several people told me I would need to take it to Geek Squad or somewhere to have it programmed again, but luckily someone pointed me in this direction and said all I needed was a recovery for the OS to get the OS back on. This worked PERFECT! All I had to do was plug this into my USB when I turned on my MacBook and it was easy from there. Just installed and did the normal process, and my MacBook was good as new. Thanks for saving the hassle of a college student when we have enough hassles!!

Started to use this to recover my mac. 1/3 of the way through the install a window pops up that says, "Allow Facebook Inc. to manage this computer for you." You are REQUIRED to do this or the program will not continue. You cannot back out. You cannot select "later."

This OS did its job and was worth the price!
This OS fit the bill exactly, and was everything it was advertised to be. :)Further, if you want to upgrade, this OS disk not only gives you a functioning version of Big Sur, but you can also get the newest OS from Apple available, all included in the price and features offered in this excellent product!I do suggest a high capacity broad-band internet connection for the upgrade, but if you want to go to the newest MacOS version, it is provided as a FREE option that you can choose if desired. A great set of options and features for the price! Yay! I highly recommend this product if you are looking for an OS for your Mac or MacOS compatible device!

A lifesaver for me
I used this product to get my Mac Pro up to speed after having trouble updating to Mac OS Monterey and swapping out SSDs on my home / work computer. I connected the USB, copied the file and did a relatively easy upgrade. Then it was on to Monterey with no issues. I hope there might be a Monterey USB drive made someday, just in case. What a great product!

Didn’t work on my apple laptop
Don’t waste your money on this product. My laptop is compatible for the Big Sur installation therefore this USB port should have worked, but it didn’t at all. Big waste of my time, after waiting so long to arrive…very disappointed.

This USB did not work and was so cheap and small to handle, wasn't worth $48.00.
Didn't work and the USB was so small it was hard to handle, ended up giving up on trying to install it on a mini max. Would never buy again.

Did not get cd as shown
Was expecting a cd and the flash drive since that is what it shows in the picture. Got only the flash drive and not the cd.
