Life changing... But..
Let down by the hinges and the point of contact with the screen door frame unfortunately. Had to put bolts through to secure it in the end. Putting it together is uncomfortably tight and doesn't feel right. While I understand it needs to be snug and sturdy, you have to tap (quite hard) the plastic connectors onto the metal which is quite flimsy, and I believe I have potentially bent mine. The hinges sit perfectly straight but the door drops at the other side. A design improvement for this would be that the plastic connectors are longer. I also built a simple wooden frame the second time I installed it which worked a treat. (None of this is the Sellers fault!) On a positive note the mesh is fantastic. I was worried the cat would claw his way straight through it, but he just climbs it if he can't get my attention quick enough 🤣. I've found him at the top of the mesh with his legs spread like a little 'batcat' on several occasions, with absolutely no damage whatsoever! The main thing is, after having this product, I won't be without a fly screen door again in my life. The breeze through the house has been absolutely priceless over the very hot summer, so I have alot to thank it for. Not to mention the fact that we have dealt with cluster flies for 3 years straight and have not seen ONE fly this summer thanks to this door. It's certainly done it's job. Bright and breezy house while insects are kept at bay. A fantastic entry into the whole idea and I will keep a close eye out for any new product. They are not very common in the UK but I think they will be when people cotton on! Would I buy this screen door again? YES. Even despite the issues with the hinges and assembly. Happy to do business with the seller again too - I believe was sent to the UK from outside, but dispatch and delivery was very prompt.

Insect door
Instructions not very clear, but when we finally got it we're pleased

Terrible
Really poor item, hinges are designed for a specific setting which didn’t suit the position we needed so we’ve had to buy alternative hinges. Description didn’t make this clear. Magnets also designed to be fitted in one position- at a right angle to the screen so had to purchase a separate catch. We didn’t need to adjust the size as it was the dimensions we needed, however one cross bar is longer than the rest and pushes out the shape of the door. Not easy to construct, images in instructions not particularly clear Frame very flimsy, now full of holes where we’ve had to reposition hinges and catches. Would consider returning except it’s now on the wall and if removed will leave holes. The item itself isn’t faulty, just poor design & poor quality & a waste of money. Wouldn’t buy again. (1 star review because 0 isn’t an option!) Would love to hear from the manufacturer/seller if any way to remedy the issues we have

Easy to install
Keeps flies out when it's closed. Unfortunately hinges aren't strong enough to close door automatically.

Summer
Very difficult to assemble. Need great patience 😀. It does keep insects out. Not very sturdy but you get what you pay for. Id recommend going for already built, slightly more expensive but all lot easier

Great screen fly door
Great item to keep all the flies out , fairly easy to put together once cut to size to fit area , and sturdy too, Highly recommend , if I needed another one would definitely buy from here again and at a reasonable price . Better than any fly net you get in the shops

Not good
The screen mesh part is good and would be easy to replace if necessary. Looks nice and is lightweight but sadly that is pretty much where the good part ends. Instructions are abysmal. Terrible fit as it is drooping to one side because it can not support its own weight and considering how light it is that is a pretty bad fault. Hinges the worse we have ever had the misfortune of using, top ones screws have pulled themselves out already. You have to drill your own holes which was not a smooth process. I like the idea, better than the curtain type we had before. It looks nicer for sure but the quality of this item is lacking by a long stretch. We did not have the highest of hopes and even they have been let down. If you go for it ii suggest trying a rolling pin to help when you fit the mesh in.

perfetta
