I have used the pack everyday for nearly two weeks, including two 15-mile day hikes. I intend to use the bag for everyday commuting, weekend trips, and long day hikes, and I think it will suit all three purposes well. The bag is massive and my previous backpack, advertised as a '36L' bag, easily fits within the main compartment. The front pocket is similarly huge. Indeed I might get the 22L version, for the 32L might be overkill for commuting in my case in spite of the fact I require XL jackets, mid layers etc. due to my height (6'3"). The bag is elegantly designed and although the bag uses burly material, it does not seem noticeably heavier than my old bag which used substantially less durable lighter material. The fit is good, but the bag goes lower down on my back than any other pack I own - those with short backs might want to check the fit.The straps are wide and, although they have thicker foam than my previous backpack, they are slightly less comfortable for long walks (>10 miles) with the bag full. The strips are set wide apart, but I do not think that is the issue. I think the foam is a little too stiff and maybe the shape of the straps is slightly off. The back does not have a rigid frame sheet and thus the minimalist waist straps just stabilise the load (I have removed mine).The things I would change: (1) a lid that opens towards the back panel of the pack; (2) an air mesh back rather than foam, which gets a little warm; (3) zip pulls that can be tied/braided together to reduce the chance of items failing out (but this is easily rectified); and (4) more comfortable shoulder straps. Perhaps I might add external pocket for water bottles but honestly I don't miss them.The things I love about the pack: (1) the volume of all the zipped compartments is usefully large, even the ones in the lid and front pocket; (2) the bag seems relatively weatherproof (I live in Scotland, but rain hasn't penetrated the bag at all so far); (3) the separation of clean/dry items from wet/dirty items in the main compartment; and (4) the the bag looks great but still is one of the most functional designs I have used.

Ich nutze den Rucksack im Alltag, also in der Stadt, auf dem Rad, auf Ausflügen. Der Rucksack hat extrem viele sehr durchdachte Features, die auf der Black Diamond Website gar nicht ersichtlich sind. So lassen sich zB Brust- und Hüftgurt ganz einfach entfernen. Sehr praktisch, da man sie im Alltag eigentlich nie braucht. Außerdem gibt es ein sehr geräumiges Bodenfach, in welches nasse Kleidungsstücke Platz finden. Nach Innen kann keine Feuchtigkeit gelangen, aber nach Außen (unten) gibt es kleine Luftlöcher. Diese Luftlöcher sind nochmal abgedeckt von einem Gurt, damit nicht ungewollt Feuchigkeit hereinkommen kann. Außerdem kann man an diesen Gurt von unten noch einmal Dinge befestigen. Das Laptopfach ist extra gepolstert und staubgesschützt durch eine Innentasche und bietet in der 32l Version sogar Platz für einen 17" Laptop. Das Deckelfach ist auch sehr aufgeräumt und bietet mehr als nur das klassische Zipper-Netz mit Schlüsselhaken.Insgesamt kann ich sagen, dass der Rucksack alle klugen Funktionen eines klassischen Trekkingrucksacks hat, dabei aber sehr formstabil und schlicht ist, das heißt es hängen nicht überall Gurte herum, die man im Alltag praktisch nie wirklich braucht.

Sehr praktischer Rucksack. Nutze ihn im Alltag, bei der Arbeit und zum Klettern. Design und Qualität sind top.Etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig ist die Öffnung an der Oberseite - sie klappt im Gegensatz zu den meisten Rucksäcken nach vorn auf.
