A MUST HAVE. Finally, a well built, practical and affordable battery solution for the BMPCC.
If you got yourself a Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera (BMPCC), odds are you found out how dreadful that awesome little camera's battery life is. External power is a MUST if you want to utilize the camera to the best of its abilities. The IndiPro Tools Power Grid System for the BMPCC is fantastic. With it, you get close to 5 hours of usable battery life from the BMPCC. If you got yourself a rig with rails and a BMPCC, this is a MUST HAVE.It's perfect for me because I shoot weddings and long interviews for my documentaries, which means battery life is a must, especially when you have to be mobile. There's nothing more infuriating than having to pause what you're doing and switch out batteries every 45 or 60 minutes. Now that I have a 5-hour battery for my BMPCC essentially, I hardly have to worry about battery life, especially on a full day's shoot. The build quality is nice, and it fits on my camera rig perfectly. It's best if you have a rig that has rails. The only downside I have with this accessory is the blue light that illuminates when you plug the batteries into it. The light, I imagine, indicates that the Canon batteries have a charge, but it makes it difficult if you're trying to be discrete, especially at weddings. Of corse, you can just cover the light with some black tape.I highly recommend this product to any person shooting on a BMPCC.

Didn't work for very long.
Well, I tested it on my BMPCC and worked great for two days. I just tried using it after a couple of months and doesn't work at all. Sucks.

Finally I can shoot all day
This product actually made my BMPCC useable for more than 45 minutes. Highly recommended, especially if you already have Canon batteries.

A must have for BMPCC owners. Even if you don't own canon batteries. The LP-E6's are cheap. This battery system enters perfectly onto any 15mm rod system.

Four Stars
works but built quality could be more of a consideration.

Great idea, terrible execution...
The cheap housing might help the manufacturers save money, but it makes for a garbage product. We got one of these in, thinking it would be a godsend for powering our BM4k, and before we even started principal photography, the unit was busted. During test shoots, when we attempted to mount the battery holder to our rail system, the screw-knob that tightens the battery holder onto the rails broke. Literally, OUR FIRST USE! We could never get it to tighten properly, so the unit spun around like a propeller during operation. It made it nearly impossible to use two batteries at once, and by the end of the day, the plastic housing had cracked and the piece it screwed into came out, leaving us with no way to keep the batteries mounted to the rails. We managed a workaround for that shoot, but it didn't allow for use of both battery mounts. After that shoot, we abandoned this battery system for a couple Juicebox batteries attached to quick release plates. It's quick, easy, and we get about the same amount of shoot time per battery. It's unfortunate that this product was made from such cheap plastic, because the power system works great. Normally I would only deduct a few stars when the primary function of a device works so well, except that in this case, the piece that broke rendered it completely useless and lead to days of finding a work around solution.
