Very Poor Quality Control
I ordered two of these batteries and only one worked. The others did not come with a charge or accept a charge. I ordered replacements and had the very same problem, one worked and the other did not.I ordered a third replacement set and had the same problem. One worked and the other did not come with a charge and would not accept a charge. To get six batteries and only have three work, is a waste of my time and a total lack of quality control!!!!

UPDATED... 1 battery for the price of 2
One of the batteries in this two pack is dead, as in, won't charge. The other is working fine. I didn't get around to using the defective battery until after it was too late to return it, so I am stuck with it.**************************UPDATE: This company caught wind of my situation and offered to send me replacement of my original order. After charging and testing the replacements, everything works as intended. I am glad there are still companies out there that value the power of the customer experience.Thank you.

EBL is an excellent company
Only three of the four battery packs I received work. One was DOA. They are obviously not tested prior to placing in inventory. Since I have three radios and three working batteries, it is not worth the hassle of returning the dead one.addendum: Jackson from customer service monitors these reviews and sent me a replacement battery without me requesting it. I changed my rating to 5 stars based on EBL having great customer service!

They ALMOST fit...
These batteries appear to be exact to the originals (except for some writing on the sleeve), when inserted into my radios, neither would turn on nor would they charge when I placed the radio onto the charger. After testing with a meter, I was confused because they read the proper voltage. I removed and replaced the batteries several times with exactly the same results. When I inserted the original batteries, the radios would power on. I finally realized that if I held the battery in with my fingers and pressed the battery toward the bottom of the radio, the additional pressure made a good connection with the contacts and the radios would power up. My final resolution was to cut a sliver of cardboard (in this case the box the battery packaging) and slipped it into the space between the battery and the top end of the battery compartment (effectively making the battery 'longer' and simulating the pressure as I had done by sliding the battery down with my hands and making the connection to the contacts). The radios now power on and charge properly. While this is not a major issue by any means, attention to detail in the manufacturing process could have saved me (and likely others) a lot of time and frustration. I hope this is helpful to both manufacturer and consumer alike.

New replacement NiMH battery won't charge
I bought a pair of BP38 batteries to replace old ones in a pair of Uniden walky-talkies. Both units still worked and the original batteries took a charge OK, but the charge didn't last long, so I ordered new ones. The replacements are identical to the originals. One battery charged up nicely and the unit is working well. The other did not take a charge at all and the unit wouldn't power up at all. I figured this could be a bad battery, a charger problem, or a charging issue specific to the Uniden unit I had put it in. I tried putting the dead battery in the working unit and charging with that unit's charger cradle. No luck. It's the battery. I'll be happy to add a follow-up review if I hear from the seller.UPDATE: The vendor communicated with me and sent a replacement battery for no charge. The replacement charged properly and is working well. I'm giving a moderate score of 3 stars because they responded responsibly to my complaint but appear to have a QC problem.
