Great waffle iron with the right recipe!
I’m born and raised in Sweden and I’m used to an old Husqvarna waffle iron from 1950 that makes heavenly waffles because it get hot HOT!For anyone from Sweden who knows anything about waffles this will make you as happy as you can get. You just need to use the right recipe to make them crispy just like home.My only complaint is that the iron needs to get hotter than level 5 to reach the ultimate texture! However, I did turn them over for a few seconds because it seems the bottom part is hotter than the top and that seemed to make them better.I do recommend it. And here is the recipe I use:4 deciliter flour1tsp baking powder2 tsp vanilla sugar/powder (you can buy it here on Amazon and it is kinda essential for best result)0,5 tsp salt2,5 deciliter milk2,5 deciliter cold sparkling water100 gram melted butter-Mix dry ingredients in a bowl.-Add milk-Add cold sparkling water. Make sure to whisk away any lumps.-Add butter-Let batter rest over night for best result (or as long as possible, I never do this cus KIDS)-Brush some butter on iron before pouring the first scoop. I used about 1 dl for 1 waffle.Lycka till med era våfflor. Smaklig måltid ;-)

Eh.
Was underwhelmed by performance. It’ll cook your waffles, but they’ll never be piping hot. Felt like the heat wasn’t high enough and tried increasing the browning setting. They did get darker in color, but still not HOT.Makes thinner than traditional waffles, which isn’t an issue, but for the time it took to cook, I didn’t have the patience.Waffle size is decent and the shape is great. When you break the pieces up, you get cute mini waffles that are great for feeding toddlers. Shape & size is what led me to this make this particular purchase. I was seeking something fun for the upcoming holiday and to use when I wasn’t in the mood for a Belgian waffle.Personally, waffle maker didn’t fulfill my cookings needs and wasn’t “fun” enough for me to commit to. If you can overlook what I couldn’t tolerate, it’s an ooookay maker. I’m more inclined to pass up the fun shapes and stick to a traditional waffle maker if performance is better

Perfect Norwegian style waffles
Love this thing. Works great. It's a bit cheaply made - the knob to adjust temp fell out when I turned the unit on its side for storage as it's meant to be kept. We were able to take apart the panel and put it back.UPDATE: I have used it twice now and can no longer adjust the temperature because the knob fell out completely upon first use. I wish I had not missed the return window on this. I can still use it but wish the temperature worked!

Does the Job!
I am from a long line of Norwegian/Swedish heritage and my family loves the sweet Scandinavian waffles. Mine finally wore out from so many years of use so I purchased this one It does the job however, I seasoned it before use and the first two I made stuck. It is working okay now but they don't make things like they used to for sure. But for the money I paid, I can't complain and I would recommend it if you are looking for one because of the product and value.

Very disappointed with this product!
I have had this product for just over 1 month. It stopped working today. I was going to return but realized it was over 30 days. Very unhappy with this product and policy.

Made great Norwegian waffles!
This is a great waffle maker for the price. Prior to my purchase of this iron, I had never made home-made waffles. I used a recipe from a Norwegian cookbook ... They were not only delicious, but perfectly brown and they were easy to pull apart so they could be eaten in heart shapes. Highly recommend!

Doesn't last, doesn't make good waffles
Doesn't make very good waffles, long to warm up and they don't come out nice and even like the other waffle makers I've used. Lastly lasted 2 yrs of sporadic use. Overall not worth it.

Cooking is slow, sticks in pan
I like the idea of making two waffles at once, but this waffle maker takes twice as long as my single heart waffle maker (and that's cooking it at the highest temperature setting). Also the waffle sticks, despite brushing the plates with oil between each waffle (and adding oil to my batter) the top comes away clean but the waffle has to be slowly pried out of the bottom. So the "non-stick" plate has me underwhelmed.
