Bought this for my 84 year old father and as soon s he put it on it made a world of difference to his hearing.

This product is not how it is stated, it is of very poor quality. it does not regulate sound as stated in the description. would not recommend this product a complete waste of money, can not even hear the tv with it.

One cannot use an ear piece other than that provided, due to the fact of the device having the microphone in the cable. This is not mentioned in the description of the amplifier and I wasn’t aware, immediately, until I found that the plug and socket are an odd size and one cannot use standard ‘phones as the plug won’t fit.I expect many people would find that a drawback, as earphones tend to be more comfortable than the sort of ear plug provided and with better quality sound.The case is substantial as is the built-in clip. It does amplify sounds well and is useful for temporary use. It becomes a bit annoying that it can only amplify sound for one ear. With a microphone in the case and the facility to take a variety of headphones, it would be so much better.

Gave my mom a bit more hearing while she waited for earring aids

The devise is basic but works. the quality of the earpiece lets it down. It came to pieces after first few days.I purchased 2 pairs of headphones hoping they would be compatible and replace the broken earpiece.No such luck so I have purchased a more expensive Audio Hearing Amplifier from amazon.Only to find out that it turns itself off after a few minuets. Not adequate for elderly mother who is on her own to keep checking it is turned on.After two device purchases and two waisted attempts at purchasing replacement headphones.I now have decided to give up.Quality is not what it used to be.

Very useful cuts background noise out

I bought this as an emergency substitution for an elderly, but was very uncomfortable and made a very annoying whistling sound for the user and most annoying for the people around.You have to move the little box around to stop the noise that returns again after a while.
