Lakeland Electric Slicer for Bread Meat Cheese 1mm - 15mm

Great easy to clean easy to adjust the blad quick cutting my bread all slices even just a great machine

I have arthritic hands so carving Sunday joint was becoming more difficult. Looked around bought a cheap version which was just a lump of plastic and no good whatsoever so it went back (not from Amazon).Searched around and decided to get this one. It arrived and one of the rubber feet was squint and damaged. Rather than send a replacement rubber foot, the whole thing had to be returned to Lakeland. I even suggested a small discount as it didn’t affect the workings of the machine. As soon as they were notified I’d dropped it off to be returned a new was was despatched and arrived the following day - pretty impressive but personally I thought OTT given the slight imperfection on the rubber foot.Anyhow, have used it a couple of times and it does the job well, have only used it for meat and poultry so far. Practice makes perfect with the thickness of slices.Downside: it doesn’t have much room at the back for collecting the meat and bits get stuck in the corner. Not the easiest of machines to clean as you can’t take it apart (apart from the cutting component itself which is a fiddle) but it is manageable but you can’t rush at it. It’s also a bit bigger and heavier than I expected so have to keep it in the garage until required for use.It does not come with a dust cover and there isn’t one available from Lakeland to buy but they are going to put my suggestion forward to the team!Overall happy enough with it, it does the job well enough and would recommend if you are happy to take into account the little niggles I’ve pointed out above.

I got this for my mam and gave her it just before Xmas so she could prepare Xmas Dinner with it as she gets every different type of meat. The hand guard for it is made of plastic and arrived slightly damaged (had a slight crack) and then after a few uses the handle part that attaches to the slicer snapped (we still managed to make it work to slice the Xmas meat). I contacted Lakeland about the damaged hand guard to see if there was a replacement available, the responded very quickly (even though it was the Xmas period) and sent a whole new replacement slicer out in a matter of days (arrived before the new year).Our problem was addressed and resolved very quick and easily. The replacement slicer is perfect and works like a dream, would recommend.
