Uniflame, C-6717, 17" Hand Carved Bellow

The wood was much more attractive than the photo of the product lead me to envision. It appears to be a stamped pattern, but is nevertheless attractive. The bellows functions very well and produces good air flow. It is very effective for starting kindling and for reviving a dying flame on an established fire. This item has seen heavy use for the past 4 months and it is holding up well in day-to-day use.

This bellows works wonderfully, I have had it more than a month and have had no problems at all with it.I have used it almost every day, perfectly functional, and durable. It is great for starting the fire back up in the morning after it has been dampened down for the night.Also, it is very nice looking, I keep it on the bricks right in front of my wood stove.I have not experienced any problems noted in other reviews at all.I would recommend this bellows.

This is a great little bellows that is the perfect size for my home fireplace. I've seen some reviews that say it is too small, but not for us. Our fireplace is something like 32" X 36", and this bellows delivers a powerful blast of air right where we need it. Maybe it is too small if you are stoking a bon fire or something, but for us it is great.The design and materials are not top class--the "hand carved" design certainly looks machine cut, so maybe a hand was operating the equipment--but the design and look is just interesting enough to make it worthwhile for the price. This is better than my previous, boring bellows that ended up falling apart after a year. This tool is decorative enough that you could hang it on a peg next to your fireplace and it looks good.

Update: 4/2/15 After two winters and countless fires I added an extra star. It is the perfect bellow both in functionality and decoration. Its size makes it easy to place anywhere near the fireplace opposed to something longer.Helps keep fire going well. Wish handle was a little longer but it is very attractive sitting by the fireplace. Will review again once I make it through the winter and it keep ticking.

This is not an everyday use bellows. I heat my home with a wood stove and within a month of use the hanging strap broke, in 2 months the material split so I had to repair with duct tape. I'm 4 months in and it is more duct tape then bellow at this point. It is very attractive and if your intended use is for a few fires a year this might work for you but do not purchase for daily use.

This little guy looks nice, but isn't really what I hoped it would be. I got it so that I could speed up the rate my grill starts without having to buy a glorified hair blower or use a noisy yard blower. It's functional but the amount of air it blows is trivial. It's also too short. Get it as a decoration or use it to frighten cats. 3 stars instead of 2 for the cat fear factor.

We heat the house with a wood stove and every now and then the fire doesn't catch. I wanted a smaller bellow that would be easy to use with our wood stove so I read the Amazon reviews to determine which one might best fit our needs. This one turned out to be an excellent choice. Size was most important because the functionality between bellows is essentially the same. I didn't care what it looked like; I cared that it would be easy to use. I'm not going into the what's wood, what's plastic, where it's made, it's color, is it pretty or not..... all I care about is if the size is manageable (it is) and does it work (it does).When I first start a fire (using a fire starter), I open the damper and crack the door a bit. Once the fire starts, I close the door and start closing the damper. When the fire is good, I close the damper. If the fire has a hard time catching, I use the bellow. I put the nozzle up to the crack of the door and pump it until the fire catches again. I go up and down, not side-to-side with the bellow. The door to the stove is open just enough to keep the smoke inside the stove and I pump the bellow just hard enough to get the embers glowing hot and finally catch.It certainly beats blowing air through a straw stuck through the crack in the door.

This screams cheapo POS. It says on it that is hardwood, I would guess from the forest in the land of "make believe". It is certainly NOT hand carved. While there is a possibility that that some derivative of leather is used, I would be surprised for it to last a single season. If I saw it in person before purchasing I wouldnt pay more than $12 for it. I am disappointed.

Very well built, and beautifully carved. Works well and the price was great. I was surprised at the quality because the price was so reasonable.

Nick to look at and also works extremely well. My husband is paralyzed of his left arm and he manages to work this bellow with just his right arm. He could not do that with our old one. So it's easy on the arms and does an excellent job plus looks like you paid a lot more!

It was a gift for my husband at Christmas and at first, he was reluctant to use it. Now, it's his best friend when building and maintaining our weekend fires. The price is right too! Thank you.

Looks and works great and well made

I bought this as a gift for my Son. He absolutely loves it!!! He says it is perfect! I don't know anything about bellows, but I was very happy with the quality and how it looks! It was so exciting to give this gift and now to listen to my son rave about it.
