As soon as I was diagnosis with Hodgkins Lymphoma, I realized I didn't know a thing about it. Knowing nothing was one thing, but not knowing what to ask or expect was totally scary. My first meeting with the oncologist was overwhelming while he was scheduling tests to see how far the cancer had progressed. I received this book while going through the various tests and in three days I was able to understand that I had an excellent chance of remission. When I met with the oncologist again, I understood almost everything he was talking about, including the ABVD regimen he planned for me. I still used the book to help me understand some of the side effects that are happening as a result of chemo treatments. It helps when I call the oncologist nurse with any new side effects. My wife read the book and it help allay the overwhelming dread that she was experiencing from the diagnosis. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone diagnosis with Lymphoma.

This is an excellent book for anyone who thinks they have, or has been diagnosed with, lymphoma. It's easy to read and understand, not too medical. Just enough medical technical jargon to help you understand the various types of lymphoma, the stages, and the possible treatment options.It's especially good for family, friends, and caregivers.I bought one when my wife was diagnosed and bought another as a gift when her brother in law was also diagnosed, each with a different type of lymphoma.Rick E. The only reason you would be reading this book is if you have lymphoma or know someone who does. You're not in need of platitudes or sympathy, you need answers. This book gives you the answers in clear, everyday speak in a good order. Excellent help.

This book gets right to the questions and answers about Lymphoma. I purchased it for a relative and her family when she was Dx'd with Lymphoma. I think it will be a book that is referred to often in the upcoming year. Glad I found it on [...] !
