Check quality control
The Affinity is every bit as good a guitar as the reviews say. It's very cheap, plays nicely and that's great in terms of what you are getting for the money. It really is a bargain. But at this price there are a few quality control issues. We took a couple of goes to get ours working properly. Jack point cable connection faulty, no wammy bar in the package, cracked pick-up nob. All these small issues sorted out with minimal fuss. But still; Annoying especially for a young pplayer excited to get her first electric guitar. In particular, check that the connection socket is working. We bought two of these guitars from different sources, and they both had the same fault. Nevertheless, it is still incredible value for money. But consider spending another £75-100 on the next model up, if you don't want to have any hassle.

Beautiful instrument, every bit as playable as my more ...
Bought as a first guitar for my son, and we're both over the moon with it. Beautiful instrument, every bit as playable as my more expensive Fender. Factory setup was almost spot on and it's just a pleasure to play. It's incredible what you can get for this sort of price from Squier these days.

Look no further for a decent guitar.
If you're starting out or just looking for a decent electric guitar, then look no further. It is a pleasure to play and has the feel of a more expensive guitar. I'm a happy camper.
