This is the second one and they have improved the lid which is a bonus. They’re pretty sturdy for the price and have survived falling from a tree and being battered by wind and rain. The squirrel hasn’t managed to get in, but persistent young pigeons hang off it, though they don’t get at the seed in large amounts and it’s generally been big bird proof, saving a lot of money on seed and with the seed trays I’ve added underneath, I don’t have the issues with seed all over the floor attracting other visitors!

Great bird feeder, very robust and keeps the crows off the food. The little birds have no trouble getting through.

Bought this bird feeder about one month. To date birds have not gone near it

I had a previous feeder of identical dimensions which I topped with a clear plastic dome that deterred squirrels for some time. That was until they worked out how to jump vertically and hang onto the bottom to shake seed out onto a base plate which they could just reach. When it came to the time to replace it, I bought this without any real expectations but, although inquisitive squirrels tried a few times, they gave up because this one has no solid plate at the bottom just a cage. It does mean that as small birds feed, more waste seed drops to the ground (rather than be captured by the base) and pigeons and squirrels get it anyway, but overall there is less waste as the feeder gets no shaking from a heavy squirrel hanging off it. The top is also very easy to open to re-fill.

Robust construction. So far squirrel proof. As others have mentioned the lid is a bit fiddly, but once you get the hang of it it is ok I was pleasantly impressed with the quality of this product.

This bird feeder looked and sounded just what we needed to stop large birds from taking all the fat balls and not allowing the small birds to feed. However we found it very difficult to put together and wishing a couple of hours of putting it in the garden, the main body fell to the ground. I appreciate that it is designed to be taken apart to clean easily, however the fixings for attaching the body to the top part are too short and when the feeder turns in even a light wind, it unlocks and falls to the ground. I really expected better for the price. It is such a shame because everything else is made to a high standard.

I was a bit worried about the cost of this feeder but I was impressed when it arrived. It’s very sturdy & well made and super easy to refill unlike others I have had. The squirrels have not been able to get into it, although they have tried, and after a few months in the garden it still looks brand new. It is heavy though so you need to attach it to something substantial and hang it from a good quality bracket.

Nachdem 30 Stare auf dem Balkon waren und ihre Sauerei hinterlassen haben, hat es mir gereicht.Dieser Futterspender hat geholfen und Spatzen & Meisen trauen sich in den Käfig und können weiter fressen.Nur das Öffnen und schließen des Futterspenders sollte überarbeitet werden, er drohte immer auseinander zu fallen.Ich habe alles mit Kabelbindern verbunden und nun funktioniert er ohne Probleme.

An sich gutes Produkt aber der innere Käfig für die Knödel wurde nicht mitgeliefert. Bis nach Großbritannien will ich den Käfig jetzt nicht wieder zurück schicken und werde etwas bauen, bei dem Preis ist das aber wirklich unangebracht

Ich hatte mit anderen Futterstellen Probleme mit Raben und Tauben, die die Meisen vertrieben haben. Jetzt bin ich zwar die Problemvögel los aber die kleinen kommen auch nicht mehr. Schade, ich warte auf den Winter, die Hoffnung stirbt zuletzt.
