Yes, the yellow part of this bus is metal, the bottom is plastic as is now most common for the toy cars in this size range. I had to order more than one as my grandkids were fighting over the first one we had.

Q: Where is this car manufactured?

The school bus I purchased was made in China.

Q: Beside front and back door open-able, just wonder if the stop sign is moveable? Thank you.

This is misleading advertising. The photo shows a stop sign and there is none. The photo shows the doors open and neither of the doors open. I will be returning it since it is not what is being advertised.

Q: Could this go on top of a cake?

It's not food safe, but I'm sure you could put it on a cake. I would recommend placing some sort of paper between it and the frosting.
