Ultra adjustable.
First, you can't really lower the unit much, because the hose attaches close to the ground.I have a patch of ground cover I want to grow, but without watering the street and driveway. This is perfect....except it's so adjustable you are second guessing yourself. Do I want stronger flow and less movement or lower flow and let the unit swivel to the end? You get wet (not all bad) because any change requires you to be nearby.I must say I'm impressed at how well it does work, once you set all the flaps and levers.

What a great idea! If only it worked. AND NOW IT DOES!
This is perfect for my rectangular vegetable garden. No more watering the street, the driveway and the utility right of way. Love it! It's easy to adjust and change directions and the height allows the water to reach over tall plants - what more could you ask for? Well, actually, I could ask it to last for more that a few months. After 4 months of use, it no longer reliably goes back and forth. Sometimes, it does and sometimes it doesn't - it's entirely unpredictable. It's too late to return it, and the warranty isn't worth the paper it's written on. If they ever work the bugs out, I'll buy a couple more. In the meantime, I guess I'm back to watering the street.EDIT I take it back - the warranty worked just fine for me. I contacted Melnor directly. They asked me to send a photo and contact info to the warranty dept., which I did. And voila! they sent a new sled type sprinkler, no questions asked (sprinkler head and sled - 2 separate pieces). I can just screw the head onto my tripod and toss (or save) the sled. Good customer service, Melnor!

Best sprinkler I have owned.
Just put in a 14,000 sq/ft lawn in a pretty windy location and knew the impact sprinkler and the oscillating sprinklers would be a problem trying to keep the seed moist. After doing some research I decided to give the Melnor Mini Max a try. I turned out to be a great decision. This sprinkler has been a real workhorse for the past month going for many hours almost every day. I love being able to spin the head to any direction without moving the tripod and I love the sweep limiting adjustments. I sometimes use the flow rate adjustment to keep from throwing water needlessly in to the woods.Great product! I’ll now be giving away my other sprinklers

Best sprinkler for rectangular space
Seems to be a high quality product. Best sprinkler with the largest coverage I've ever used. The adjustment controls allow you to water just the area you want. I found it to be a remarkable sprinkler, the tripod makes it twice as good by getting it up off the ground.

best sprinkler
I generally don't write reviews as I think they are totally subjective and often irrelevant. That said, I love this thing, I bought a total of 6 after fiddling with my first one. Why? they are easy to use, super adjustable, they cover a ton of space, depending on the base they have they can be daisy chained, etc.I wish I'd found these sooner!
