Deco Brothers 6" Vanity Mirror with Stand, 1X/8X Magnification, Chrome

I recently broke my Grandmother's porcelain dresser size stand mirror while packing for my "downsize" move. After having an item so long you don't realize how much you used the item! The older mirror only had a 2x magnification, I am guessing. This 8x's magnification is a must have if you are at that age when reading glasses or permanent glasses are required! I can't believe how much easier it is for me to see my eye makeup application. For years I was not seeing precisely what I was doing. Not being aware of the difference a higher magnification would make for me. I now can see those tiny eyebrow hairs and of course the facial hair I was not aware that I had. Warning: Order your choice of facial hair remover at the same time that you purchase this mirror if you are like me and did not have a high magnification mirror, you will be embarrassed when you see just how many facial hairs that the world has seen in the sunlight you didn't know were there! The price of the mirror when compared to the weight and sturdy construction is amazing. I looked at many, settled on this one, and am pleased that I did. It's pretty in a chrome version, the base is a nice touch. I miss the beauty of the my antique mirror as it was hand painted porcelain, but price wise, it is the perfect replacement. Further, although it is made extremely well, the weight is not too heavy to use the non magnify to hold up and make sure (in my case), my french braid is straight when I am done. It is a size that is just right for me. But in addition to allowing it to sit on the stand for my make up it is the correct size for picking up to view the back of my hair. A good choice, in my opinion.

Great deal for the money! It's a nice, heavy mirror that adds elegance to my vanity. I have a large mirror on my vanity that I use when I do my hair but I wanted something a little closer so I wouldn't have to lean forward while doing my make up. I love this mirror because I have the option of flipping it to the side with magnification. Let me tell you, this mirror has major magnification. I've never seen my face in such detail before. You can see just about every pore on your face ( not very pretty, if you ask me) which helps me tremendously while applying eyeliner and other easy to mess up make up. UPDATE: (4-20-2016) I'm still loving this mirror. It is also very durable. My cat jumped up onto my vanity and knocked it off. I was so upset but when I, in fear, picked the mirror up from the ground it was fine!

O have not yet taken the plastic wrapping off the pet sling. I will not even use it until the weather gets pleasant and I have an event come up where it would become a blessing. Therefore I did not respond to the review as yet. I have no answer. The mirror is a mirror. I have had a 10x before and mine broke and it is an excellent replacement. What I loved about the mirror was the great price. I love dealing with Amazon because they have proved themselves to be trustworthy. Prices are fair and you get your order, correctly and quickly. I don't like to do reviews. I don't like having to mess with computers to order stuff. I like being able to look and browse but I wish you could order by phone with a human. I do admit reviews can be helpful so that is why I am answering now. The mirror is a great mirror and the price was absolutely the best for it as I checked all around before purchasing. I will review the pet sling later toward late spring-early summer if you wish. I can tell you I would have liked other color choices as I did not like either of the two choices available. A multi-print would have been much better.

Do you need to look up your nose? Would you like to look really *far* up your nose? If so, this is the mirror for you! My face violently shook hands with a tree a few years back, so I frequently have to look up inside the ol' smell holes to make sure no errant tissue is getting delusions of grandeur. I bought this mirror to replace the white-with-roses makeup mirror I found on a dusty shelf in a cabinet at some point in the past. That mirror worked fine, but I decided that porcelain roses didn't really match my brick and mahogany bathroom decor. Sturdy base, very clear reflections. I was a bit worried about the reviews saying that you had to put your nose on the mirror to see yourself, but that turned out to be silly people making silly exaggerations. I measured. At six inches from the magnified surface, everything is well-focused and ready for nasal spelunkery. If you're frequently using the magnification surface you might want to apply an anti-fogging agent like foam shaving cream (or one of those windshield/motorcycle visor treatments) or else you might end up puffin' a bit much and ghosting yourself, but I don't find it to be an issue. Overall a great mirror for makin' your mug bigger, and a good price.

I am not the best when it comes to makeup but i really enjoy doing it. I have bad eyes and my tiny handheld mirror was just not cutting it so i shopped around.and came to this. Wow! At first i was put off because it had no lighting but i figured what the heck.. Ill put it in front of my large window and be good. This was wonderfully packaged and came to me unharmed. The chrome is nice and shiny and the mirror respeldant in its crisp clear image. It can get dirty quickly, i find myself gobbing it up with print when i turn it but it wipes off.easily. turning is simple.and.it goes quick but not out of control. The magnitized side is great for little details like cat eyes and corners or even lipstick application. The regular side lets me see my foundation and blush perfectly. This sees imperdections extremely well. I got it and the first time i used it i was stunned how bleh my face looked! I thought my skin was really nice with no makeup but oh...was i mistaken! I am glad for this though, it helps.me see what i need to cover and improve on besides just slathering on foundation. This is sturdy and well made. I can see myself having it for years barring an accident. A great investment for the price.

An 8" mirror proved too large to light well with the desk lamp-on-folding-arm that I use. Also I found I do not need height adjustments. One height is fine. And 8X magnification is plenty, 10X not needed. I'm very happy with this mirror, would buy again.

Exactly what I wanted. One side is a magnifier. The other side is just a regular mirror. Easily portable from room to room does not need to be used in the bathroom. Can be used in the living room if you want. Especially if the lighting is better there!

This mirror is heavy. Could not be knocked over easily. Mirrored surfaces are good quality, though the X8 magnification is a little scary! I highly recommend this product. It is pleasing to see on a bathroom counter. Have used for only a short time, but do not anticipate having issues with it.

It’s a pretty great mirror! Sturdy, easy to assemble and very nice looking! Was looking for something to have that was portable for the house to apply my makeup anywhere and this fits the bill! Best price for a great product!

Great little mirror for my desk to apply my make up with. It tilts at any angle and holds its position. I would recommend using a strong light nearby since the mirror is so small. Overall it's great. No scratches on mirror.

Heavy but durable the one side is magnifyed and the other is just a regular mirror side..A nice mirror I wish it had a light but overall it is a nice mirror my mom loves it..
