I’ve been using the Clairol Root Touch-Up in Dark Brown (4) for a while now, and it’s truly the best solution for in-between salon visits. The color blends seamlessly with my professionally dyed hair—no harsh line, no obvious “at-home” look. What I think doesn’t get talked about enough is how QUICK and MESS-FREE it is. The little mixing tray and brush make it so easy to apply exactly where you need it without wasting product or staining your skin. Another huge plus: the formula doesn’t have that overwhelming chemical smell you get with a lot of dyes. It’s much gentler, and my hair still feels soft and shiny after rinsing—no straw-like texture. I was not able to find my color in stores once Covid-19 hit. I was so glad to find 2-packs on Amazon and have ordered several as I have not been able to go to the salon. It is very easy to use on roots to cover the gray. Much better look than an overall color.

Clairol Root Touch Up is easy to use and it extends my time between visits to the salon. I was delighted when I found my best color match, but over time the selection of colors available in stores has been cut to just a few. Ordering online makes getting my best color match easy, and the cost savings when buying a multipack makes it a bargain as well!
