Works well
I bought one of these about 5 or 6 years ago and the switch recently broke, so I ordered a new one. It has changed a little. The older model was longer and less wide. This one fits around my neck and reaches up higher, which for me is better. I was happy with the benefits from the prior product model and I expect to be with this one.

Didn't get even heating along the whole pad
I like the concept, and this brand was recommended by my physical therapist for pain from TMJ issues. I tried this size, and it wasn't working for me because the ends of the product don't really heat up as well as the middle. Thus, I was getting perfect heat on the back of the neck, but it didn't reach all the way to the sides of my jaw and face even though the heating pad itself reached far enough (ideally, I might have liked it to be a few inches longer, but I would have been fine with it if it had heated all the way to end of the heating pad).I don't know if I just had a defective one or whether all the ones of this size are that way.Another issue is that you should be aware that you must hold down the button to keep the heat coming. That can be an issue if you already have joint issues. It means having to keep a sustained grip unless you wedge the button under your leg or something.

Thermophore Petite - Barely gets warm.
I wanted to get a newer Thermophore Petite heating pad to replace my 40-year-old one. This one barely gets warm and only in the middle of the pad. The 40-year old one I had got hot enough to be uncomfortable if you didn't release the switch now and then. By comparison, this one barely gets warm even after holding the switch down for 20 minutes. It does not produce enough heat to be useful for me.

Doesn't get hot enough for men with big necks and thick skin. Not worth the time and money. Buy one of their best; the very large one.

LOVE MY THERMAPHORE, I have 4 of them (1-couch, 1-work, 1-bed and 1spare).... been using for 20 years for terrible back only thing that makes my back livable.
