Almay Multi-Benefit Mascara, 501 Blackest Black, 1 Pack

Many mascaras promise that they do not flake, stay on, don't smudge-but they do. Not this mascara - at the end of the day it does not flake, it stays on great, and there isn't raccoon eyes. It comes off easily with removers made for waterproof mascara. I love this stuff!

This is my 2nd tube and I like this mascara because of the wand being brush-like. I don't prefer the thin plastic brushes. Doesnt clump either. I do think it dries out quicker than other brands so may not purchase again.

I have been buying this mascara for several years, both through Amazon and in store. I like this product. I gave it a 4 star rating, because it has been a good product. However this particular mascara packaging had the date 2017 on it. The color of the tube was solid blue, instead of the current two-tone blue. The mascara was dry and could only be applied lightly.

I used this mascara for years and I always liked it. I switched to another hypoallergenic brand for a short while, but it wasn't waterproof and I prefer waterproof. When I recently purchased the Almay waterproof multi-benefit mascara, the brush seems over-sized and extremely bushy and the formula different. I can't possible apply it without getting it all over my lid and under eye because the brush is so big and over loaded. It's clumpy on my lashes. I have completely wiped the brush clean with a paper towel to start fresh and it happen again. Something has changed. The inner mechanism that wipes the brush of excess mascara isn't doing it's job. I hate when brands change something that used to work so well. I'm just throwing it away, what a waste.

This mascara causes much less irritation for my extremely sensitive eyes than any other mascara I have tried. However, I still experienced some watering and a little bit of irritation. I rated it 3 stars since it did not lengthen my lashes well like it claims. It also sheds and looks a little bit like black dust under my eyes when I wear it. Overall, I did not find it to be very good quality but it is really the only mascara I am able to use with my sensitive eyes.

Have used this product for years. Have to have the hypoallergenic and this is true to its claim

Purchased here on July 19 2026, I opened it from closed sealed packaging August 2nd 2026. September 20th 2026 I have noticed the product thickening making use difficult. By September 27th I have horrible eye lid pain and using hot compress to elevate swelling and pain. Note this is less than 3 months. Mascara can be used anywhere from 3 to 6 months, so I am extremely dissatisfied. I threw it out, waste of money.

Perfect hypoallergenic mascara for sensitive eyes irritated by standard mascaras. I tried several before stumbling across this one. My eyes and lashes love it!

Read a bunch of bad reviews saying this was gloomy and was nearly out off, but that hasn't been my experience at all. Arrived quickly in original packaging and behaved like a new mascara. It is a buildable, so not instant volume, but goes on evenly, without smudging, lasted through some really hot days and doesn't flake or move. I've spent a long time looking for a decent reliable mascara and this is the best so far. Major plus point, it is excellent for my sensitive eyes, where plenty others have failed.

Didn't get any irritation in my eyes like I do with other mascaras

Tengo los ojos sensibles. Las máscaras de pestañas a prueba de agua en diferente medida me ponen los ojos muy rojos, muchas veces me producen comezón y otras un constante lagrimeo, todo lo cual es muy incómodo. Las máscaras lavables no me sirven porque me bajan las pestañas y se me apelmazan, dando una apariencia desagradable. Creo que he encontrado la máscara ideal para mí, porque es a prueba de agua pero realmente no me causa ninguna reacción alérgica. Levanta un poco las pestañas, no las deja espectaculares, pero cumple su función y para mí está bien.
