No drain. If its approved for gas you can use it for diesel. But remember diesel tanks are usually yellow.

Does the job

I have a 14' aluminum fishing boat with an old 6HP motor on a small lake. The old tank was letting water in so it was time for a replacement. I like the idea of the tank fitting under the seat. Based on some of the reviews I almost didn't get this tank, but I am glad I did. After half a summer with it, it is working just fine. Fits under seat, lets air in fine when running and doesn't leak water. My old Quicksilver gas hose fit its threads. I have not had the expansion problems some mentioned, but I am in MN and the tank is shaded under the seat. I would buy again.
