Nice Sleeping System even for a novice - Must Use Sleeping Pad
While I have camped in the past I would not say that I am an advent outdoorsman. This year was the first year that have camped out in at least 15 years. My two sons have wanted to go camping so I looked for a nice light sleeping bag and came accross this gem. I am a fairly large man 6' 4" over 300 lb and this bag fit me well. You have to also get a sleeping pad that fits inside the bottom of the sleeping bag. It was not clear that I had to use the sleeping pad at first but you have no cushion or insulation. The bag itself is very light and easy to handle. The sleeping pad is nice and light as well. I would recommend that you also bet a camping pillow. There is a pocket for the pillow inside the bag. I have used this two times this spring and I am looking forward to using it more over the next few months.

Typical great Big Agnes product
I've had a Summit Park 15 degree bag for awhile now and love it, but after moving back to Southern California it's just too warm for most night here. I bought the Buffalo Park before our first camping trip down here and it was the perfect temperature. The double zip feature is great for folding the top back and having a little more space or if you get warm in the middle of the night. The lining is very comfortable - almost like a cross between knit and flannel. The pad does stick out of the corners at the bottom, which actually works well for us as my daughter and I each have one of these bags, but the pads are different colors and the exposed corner helps tell them apart. Speaking of pads, we both have the BA Hinman solid foam core pads with the extra Sleeping Giant memory foam cover. That's a pretty thick combination and getting it into the pad sleeve took a little more work than with the Summit Park since Buffalo Park has a more elastic pad sleeve. But it wasn't too bad and the bottom corner openings made it a lot easier.

Finally a good nights sleep!
I'm a stomach sleeper and a normal zippered sleeping bag idoesn't pack small enough to carry on my motorcycle . A mummy bag is out of the picture and I tried a Sierra Designs BackCountry bed, but just couldn't get comfortable in it. But the Big Agnes Buffalo Park zips open like a normal bag and packs smaill enough to carry in a stuff sack and the mattress pocket holds my inflateable pad so I don't keep sliding off the pad. Great bag for side and stomahc sleepers!

Comfy
If you can't stand a mummy bag, try this. Roomy. Employs the Big Agnes sleep system where it has a pocket on the bottom for the air mattress to slide in so it's under you all night. Note: Unlike other Big Agnes products, this comes only with a stuff sack, not a mesh storage sack. This is due to the material it's made from-no storage bag required. I had expressed concern about it and the seller contacted Big Agnes and verified. I'd use Campman again.

This bag is perfect for me
I am 6’ 4” tall and 300lbs. I have been searching for an affordable, lightweight extra large sleeping bag for years. I found out the hard way that I am allergic to feathers (hives all over the body allergic), so obviously I cannot use down. This bag is perfect for me.It’s long enough and lightweight. The best way I can describe it is, it’s a hybrid. The foot box is kind of like a mummy and the upper part is like a quilt. It’s warm, comfortable and at just under 3lbs (2lbs 15 oz) it’s lightweight. I would recommend this bag, and any of the park long series bags to anyone, especially those over six feet tall.

Love the extra room!
I'm a big guy, right at 300 lbs, and I had plenty of room in this bag! I've slept in the bag in temperatures between 35-40 and was very warm and comfortable. Although it may be slightly heavier than other ultralight weight bags, I feel the added room and over all comfort is well worth the extra weight. Don't forget you NEED a INSULATED sleeping pad inside the bag!My sleeping system includes two pads. I slip a Klymit Insulated Static V Sleeping Pad into the sleeve of this bag and I lay the bag on top of a Thermarest closed cell pad. Works for this big guy!

Way too thin for 40 degrees, you'll freeze
Planned in-tent family summer camping trip, night temps expected to be 50 degrees. With frequent night sweats lately, really liked the zippers on both sides and wide, non-mummy type bag which could easily be opened during the night to help cool off. This hoodless buffalo park bag seemed really thin upon opening, came in an unusually tiny box, but ok, they say 40 degrees, right? Used a Trekology inflatable pad with it, approx. 2' wide. First night 48 degree low, was frozen all night, slept horribly even after putting on full clothing. 2nd night 44 deg, wore full clothing, socks, jacket, beanie, still too cold to sleep well. 3rd night 40 deg, with full clothing and jacket/hat, had to throw parkas on foot end and middle section to stay somewhat warm. 4th & 5th nights were warmer, 46 & 50 deg, and slept warm enough with all the clothing and parkas installed. Night sweats never helped the situation, and never needed to unzip. Although it appears very well made, this bag shouldn't be used unless night temps are perhaps 60 degrees or better.

Love the Park Series. Made for big guys like me.
Just what I needed for kayak camping in the Pacific Northwest! Fit is just like my other Big Agnes bags. I am 6'4" and 250 lbs. This bag allows me to sleep on my side with my arms actually in the bag. Love Big Agnes. The Park Series bags are made for big guys. Keep in mind you will need a pad to go in the bag as the bottom is not insulated. I was plenty warm overnight in the 40s F with my usual light hoodie, shorts, and feet poking out at times from the bottom of the bag.
