Q: Ok for shoveling snow?

It would depend on the outside air temperature. 30+F they are okay. If much colder than that I would prefer heavier gloves. A glove similar to these but heavier is Kinco 51 PL.

Q: Machine washable or can they be hand washed?

Sorry, but I don't now. There's no label inside or outside with washing instructions, and the packaging material (which I still have) also doesn't say one way or another. At this point, I haven't worn them often enough that they need cleaning. but when they do, I'll probably take them to a leather cleaning shop and see what the shop says.

Q: does it run big or small?

im 5'8'' - 180 - smallish hands- xl fits me
