Anchor Bracket

exactly what I needed.

I tried and tried but it just wouldn't fit. I will return it. If I adjusted the bracket to fit the anchor, you could not get the anchor out of the bracket. I am not sure if the rail mount will work. The Stanchion Mount just doesn't work.

My Fortress FX 11 anchor did not match the dimensions of the bracket-and we are returning it to the supplier.

Even though my anchor met the product size and weight criteria available when I purchased on line, my anchor would not fit. I had to spend another $50 to have the mount modified to work. There was additional information that came with the anchor that was not available when I purchased on line that indicated it might not fit. I chose to keep it and modify it because there were probably no other products that would fit.

I have used this anchor holder for several years on my Lake Powell boat. I use it to hold a fairly heavy anchor, maybe 30 pounds, and it does just what you would expect. I have it on an outside railing, so it takes up no space in my cockpit. It has worked great, and I am going to get a second one for another anchor. This item is fully adjustable and makes easy work to mount a Danfort or my Fortress anchor. I have mounted mine on a sailboat stanchion (one inch) up forward and am ordering another one for a stern mount. Holds anchor very secure and allows for a quick release in emergencies. Great item. It is all Stainless and in two years has not rusted at all.
