Adjustable Youth Golf Set

Currently teaching my 3 year old daughter how to play and she loves these clubs. They are EXCELLENT for the money. The shafts are actually pretty good quality aluminum and the club heads are a dense plastic. A young player probably could hit real golf balls with these clubs with minimal wear or damage to the head. An experienced player with high swing-speed probably would crack or break the club head though. The adjustable shafts are awesome. The putter already broke (head came off) but on inspection it appeared to have not been glued properly to begin with. I glued it back on as that isn't a big deal, the putter doesn't need high-club-head speed anyway. Would totally buy them again.

We purchased a set for each of our grandsons ages 6 and 7 -- one Red and One Blue. They each love their golf club set. Problems with one club after a few uses but Franklin Sports resolved the issue quickly when contacted!

I'm a scratch golfer and father of twin 3 year olds and was so hoping these could be great clubs for my boys to have fun with in the back yard. I wanted something more than light weight plastic clubs and something just a little more realistic and durable that they could begin learning the game with. Well, in theory these seemed perfect. When I took them out of the package they seemed exactly what we needed. Weight was perfect fit my boys, grip was surprisingly realistic and the plastic club heads seemed worthy of hitting wiggle balls all around the yard hours on end. One of my boys grabbed the putter, I set it on the shortest setting and locked it into place. He teed the sturdy foam ball up on one of the three tees (which is more than half the fun for them) and as a proud golf lover I was so excited to see him swing, even if it was a putter off a tee, that lesson could come later! He took it back, looked at me and smiled while his club paused at the top, then swung through and whack! The ball dribbled a few feet and the putter head broke on the neck. I kid you not, very first swing from a not quite 3 year old and the putter was toast. Luckily there were 2 other clubs and I hoped it was just a "made in China" defect. If the iron and wood worked as advertised then I'd have been happy. The boys hit balls in the back yard for probably 20 min, I was a happy camper, until they started running up to me after each swing saying "fix daddy,club broken, not working right". All the clubs would come unlocked at impact (on a plush st Augustine grass yard no less) and so the head would spin making it impossible to hit a ball. The shaft would extend as the followed through and become twice the necessary length. In summary, I really thought these would be perfect, but after buying 2 sets it ended up costing about $3 per minute of frustrating entertainment/whining and then I had to throw them away. I wish they could have at least come with a few beers bc that's what is needed to handle two wonderful blond haired twin boys who just want to play golf in the back yard, but can't bc the clubs their daddy got them broke in the first 7 min of playing w them. Now that I think about it, I'd like the company to either send me $ back or a case of beer. This review could have been way better with either of those in my possession right now.

The plastic is just too brittle to hold up. I returned one set due to the putter breaking on the first use. The putter looks easy to break… The next set broke as well but it was the iron this time. I’d say it is awesome except the fragility of the clubs. I ended up just tossing the broken club and my son just likes having something to swing around the house and yard. Good for the price.

This is definitely a TOY golf club set, not a real set. This was a gift for my 8-year old daughter who has older brothers who have real golf clubs to play with. This way, she can have fun with them without spending big money on expensive clubs that she may or may not use often enough to be worth it. As others have mentioned, it's a pretty nice set for a toy, but they are NOT super durable. They are aluminum shafts with plastic heads. Be sure the child you're planning to give it to is at least old enough to understand how to play with them properly if you want them to last. And, be sure they're older siblings know to keep their hands off them because they won't handle too much force from a strong older kid either. Other than that, they seem like they will provide a lot of fun for a long time. NOTE: Our set did come slightly defective. The putter just won't adjust properly. I had to slowly twist it back and forth while pushing on it pretty hard to get it to compress back to a shorter size after extending it. Once it frees up, it moves just fine and locks in place just fine, but after it has been locked, it just won't properly unlock to adjust it again. Annoying, but at least she can still play with them.

Excellent quality. A huge success

They lasted a few hours before breaking each one broke in less than a hour great for money and looks will recommend but do not use like a real golf club!

Durable and lightweight! Easy to use. Adjustable to my toddlers height, so a wide range for size. Relatively cheap so my daughter can be included in all the activities with mom!

Really good quality for a start set. Perfect for my tall two year old!

Idea to have adjustable length sticks is awesome, but what you will receive is a weak, unreliable set of 3 sticks. Even a 6 years old kid easy bends the aluminum bodies of those sticks, thus only hitting those foam balls and eventually the grass around. The length locking mechanism is not reliable and no any indication which direction to lock/unlock. For adult is not so big problem to find correct way, but for kids is a problem! The set I receive looks like was return from somebody else, because 2 of the 3 sticks already had difficulty in extending/shortening adjustments. I don't think those sticks could survive more than 20 real shots, so returned them until were still in usable condition. For mini golf probably will be Ok, but you will have to add at least some additional marks on which direction to lock/release the length adjustment mechanism.
