D-Amazing 5240!
This is the best DVD Set that I have ever had!! I remember that My Grandma has this DVD set that came out since 2010 and I always love watching and dancing to all of my favorite music videos of Michael Jackson when I was at my Grandma’s House!! And I was just getting it down and killing it myself for doing the moonwalk! LOL😂But I am a huge fan of MJ Myself, and I love this collection a whole lot! My Grandma gave this to me, a few 15 years ago but one of the discs and the cover set got a few scratches when I used it. But although, I had to purchase and buy a new one on Amazon. So I am really 100% satisfied because the golden cover is beautiful and super shiny and It’s IN Brand New Condition!!! All I can really say that this is the best collection of Michael Jackson’s Vision I have ever watched in my life and I enjoyed it!!! 🙌🏾🙌🏾

The Only "Must Have" MJ Collection.
So there is no mistake, this review is for "Michael Jackson's Vision Deluxe 3 DVD Box Set".Michael Jackson never made a music video. Yes seriously. What he made were 35 well written, acted, produced, and directed, short films. These short films just happen to contain MJ's music and dancing talent. What you saw on MTV and other music channels back in the day, were very edited down versions of the short films. The videos had opening and closing sequences that were never seen on MTV or VH1. We only saw the video of the recording that the record company was trying to push at the time.MJ's Vision Collection contains all 35 videos on 2 DVD disc. 16 titles on Disc 1 and 19 titles on Disc 2. Roughly 4 hours of MJ genius. (Sorry no BluRay available). The videos are the full length, uncut versions of every short film he made. Many of them have opening and closing credits like "Thriller" and "BAD", because they were scripted, produced and directed like feature films by big name guys like Steven Speilberg, John Landis, Martin Scorsese, Quincy Jones..... and many more. There are several with dozens of big name actors like Robert DiNero, Marlon Brando, Eddie Murphy, Whoopie Goldberg, .... and dozens more that will surprise you. I bet that you will see some of these short films in their entirety for the first time ever. I know I did and it surprised me.There is also a third bonus DVD with 7 more short films. There are 3 by the Jackson 5. Also "Say, Say, Say" with MJ and Paul McCartney. MJ's "They Don't Care About Us" is on disc 2. But this bonus disc has a second "Prison" version of the song. Also the song "WHY" with KT featuring MJ. And finally the real bonus. MJ's song "One More Chance released for the first time. This song has never been seen on TV or on home Video before this collection set.Now for the tech specs for those with home theater and surround sound. The video is clean and clear with good color and good brightness and contrast. No grain, snow, distortion, or color artifacts. I don't know if these short films were remastered or not, but they look like they were. Every film is easy on your eyes and show up great on an HDTV. I played my copy on a Sony DVD progressive scan player connected using the R,G,B, video and coaxial digital audio. (I save the BluRay player for HD discs only.) I was very impressed and I am picky about sound and picture quality. All of the short films are in standard 4:3 frame but the disc is projecting a 16:9 frame with a 4:3 program to the TV display. So like it or not, you will have to put up with the black bars on the sides. But after a while, you somehow don't seem to care.As for the audio..... The soundtrack is only in PCM 2.0 uncompressed - 48KHz - 24 bit sound. There is no Dolby or DTS to compress and ruin the sound. And considering this is only music, there are no other languages or audio tracks to pick from. You get the PCM track that they give you and that is all. It sounded fantastic on my surround system in the Pro-Logic mode. The sound quality is very wide range frequency response with nice deep bass and clean sweet sounding high frequencies. Full Hi-Fi quality on every short film.If you are an MJ fan, this is the only collection of his genius music that you will ever need. No other MJ video collection can come close to this set. As a fan, you will not be sorry you bought this collection. Even if by some slim chance you are NOT a big MJ fan, you will still be amazed at the performances of this collection. You will be highly entertained musically and visually. No matter what anyone thinks of MJ, even when he started getting a little weird, you have to admit that he puts on one heII of a show. The guy was a born entertainer. This is really the only must have MJ video collection on the market. The others are wanna-be's and don't cut it.

Missed the mark for a TRUE Vision but still a keeper
The top reviewer said it all best and others have talked about the aspect ratio, so I won't delve into that, even tho they are major complaints and do ruin the enjoyment. But I feel compelled to comment because as a long time Michael Jackson fan it was and has been extremely difficult to deal with his loss. He was a true work of art to the world and was never appreciated the way he should have been. People hated him for such horrid reasons--they hated the way he looked, he loved being child like, he loved kids because he never got to be one, he was black (yes, that is a reason) and he had incredible influence and power. That said, Sony *cough* money mongrel murderers *cough* had a chance to really give their fans a true testament to the genius of Michael Jackson. This set is very pretty, I love the cover and such, but sadly you do feel a little bit of the disinterest that Sony has in giving us a real 'Vision' of his talent. Michael is gone now, so for them to come out and boast another box set we should get the most ultimate that we can get. There is no excuse for 'Ghosts' being in its short form. None at all. Not only is that a very overlooked and mostly unknown piece of genius, it spoke a lot of what Michael was going through being mocked and humiliated, and now more than ever we need something in his OWN words. Even with the obvious undertones in the short film, That short film is brilliant, I only saw it once and it deserves to be seen again.Somehow, some making of videos should have been included, where is the making of Thriller?! and I'm sure there is something on 'Scream' lurking around. Oh sorry, that's coming later to get more money.Anyway, all versions of BOTDF should have been included as well. And the true cut of 'Black or White' should have been in there--with racial slurs and all. That was Michael's 'Vision' in the beginning and we all know the back lash he suffered from that fall out.THINGS I'M GRATEFUL FOR:I'm happy to see the prison version of They don't really care about us. That is a great video and it was pretty much banned and forgotten.Love seeing 'Say, Say, Say' I know a lot don't care for it, but I love the song and Michael is a cutie in the video. It is hard to find elsewhere.'Can you feel it' is another gem. I know some may think why pull this one song out of nowhere to be included, but it is another hard to find video with him and the brothers. Not to mention a really great song. Happy to have it."Who is it" The vision of David Fincher still has us scratching our heads. I don't think people cared for the abstract expression this video left us with. Nor did they care for a Michael Jackson video where he half appeared and did no dancing whatsoever. This video is confusing, but Michael looks luscious and it is a rare one indeed. Also, as someone mentioned, some video quality is not as good as others, yes, this refers to 'Billie Jean' and 'Don't stop till you get enough' Sad but true. I'm not 100% sure why, they couldn't transfer it properly, not sure, but it's not as sharp. Sound is great however. While most already have #1s and the 'History' DVD's one might say 'why do I need to rebuy all his videos again?" Well, you don't. Which is why this set is a hit and a miss. I have one History DVD and that gave me a handful of videos I have already. There are some goodies, which includes the lovely thick booklet with delightful photos to go along with every video including the names of the directors and production date which (for me anyway) I found useful. This still does not make me feel like I am holding a 'lost treasure.' Even with 'One more Chance' which was hard for me to finish. That video felt rushed and incomplete and it is just difficult for me to enjoy it, even if he does look happy. Michael was well on his way to giving us so much more of himself and this is proof of that, he was working on new music and it was coming, so I'm sorry but I can't go into that video, it's hard for me to watch it more than once to give more of a review. The biggest selling point is really just having all his videos together for safe keeping. I will say that--for now--this is a really good video collection for him and pretty much the only true one out there. If you want all his vids in a one stop and shop get this, it's not too pricey either. If you have all his vids spread out over other DVD's don't bother unless you really do just want them all in one place. I just can't say that the extras warrant you picking it up. Beautiful set but leaves a lot to be desired if you already have all of his videos already.Overall, it makes me sad that Sony screwed him and his fans--AGAIN. But at the same time is wonderfully packaged and pretty to look at. Very convenient to own. I'm not trying to deter anyone from buying, but I think we have all done enough re-buying of his music already. Just think about what you already own and what you really want. And as always, keep loving Michael!
