I was hesitant because this is so little actual seed and the fertilizer part makes it seem like more, but this seed has done amazing! I planted it with no prep April 25 and forgot about it. Some of the area was a little lower lying so water settles there but we had little rain in the past weeks and as I mowed June 12, wow, I see not only did it fill in the whole area where it was cast, but it actually was enough growth to go ahead and run the mower over the area.The color is a slightly lighter green, in keeping with the main yard. The KY fescue usually shows up kind of dark green/blue. I scattered the leftover out back in shade and I see it's popping up well there too.

Works great for small patches about the size of a washcloth. Didn't work much on bigger spots.

It’s impossible to know how well this product works. I water regularly. There’s been plenty of rain. I use the seed. I still have dead zones I’m giving one more chance. The garden centers are closing so I can get soil and peat for just about free. But the seed effectiveness is in doubt. They offer a guarantee but you can see by the time a customer calls and goes through countless transfers and then providing meticulous record keeping I highly doubt there’s ever been a refund or make good. Too ambiguous and full of loopholes.

This seed has worked out pretty well. And the price for a 20lb bag in lovely. I spent the same on a 5lb bag of Scotts and this seed works better!

The Seed Product Sucked. I wanted to make the bald spot in my yard go away. I figured this seed would work under a canopy of pine and leafy trees. It was pretty when it first sprouted roughly a week after planting it. But after it sprouted, it started its slow downhill trajectory. I noticed less and less of them surviving. I planted it in August and just mowed the grass, in December. I think 100% of the grass seed died. It did not do well in the Deep South. I bought a sprinkler and ran a hose to the area just to fix it. I have no idea what happened.

I use these seeds to help the grass grow after our dog urinates on an area and turns it brown. I find that I get good growth with these seeds especially if the ground surface is prepped so the seed are touching the dirt. I was surprised to see one area grow since he urinated on it so frequently.
